We stayed at Langkawi Country Lodge for four days, and while the facilities and amenities were excellent, what truly made our trip unforgettable were the incredible hosts, Mama Yati and Papa Mas, along with their wonderful family. From the moment we arrived, they went above and beyond. We were greeted at the airport and driven to the lodge free of charge, which was a fantastic start to our stay. The lodge itself had everything we needed, making it a comfortable and relaxing base for exploring Langkawi. Breakfast each morning was outstanding—one of the best pies I’ve ever had! Fresh omelettes were also available and made to order. Papa Mas also organised an island-hopping tour for us, which made the whole experience seamless and gave us confidence that we were getting a fair and trustworthy service. We even rented motorbikes directly from the lodge, making it easy to get around the island. Honestly, everything we needed was taken care of. The surrounding area was beautiful, peaceful, and full of charm. I would highly recommend Langkawi Country Lodge to anyone visiting the island. If you’re deciding between staying here or at a standard hotel, choose the lodge—you’ll get a much more personal and memorable experience.

I stayed six nights at Langkawi Country Lodge and, had I not already booked a non-refundable onward journey, I would happily have stayed much longer. From the moment I arrived, it was clear this was far more than just accommodation — it was a warm and welcoming community where guests naturally came together to share excursions, dinners, sunset drinks and evenings watching the beach fire shows. Cenang beach is a few minutes walk on a narrow road past local houses and across the main ring road. I was fortunate enough to stay in two different rooms during my visit. The first was a peaceful new bungalow with a charming little white picket fence courtyard. Every detail reflected the incredible craftsmanship of owner Papa Mas. The handmade timber furnishings, woodwork and exceptionally comfortable bed were all cleverly created from local timber and showcased his carpentry skills. For my final three nights, I moved into the free-standing villa, where once again Papa Mas’ creativity and artistry were evident everywhere — from the unique bedhead to a handcrafted bedside lamp. The character and care put into every space made the stay feel truly special and authentic. Mama Yati and her attentive, caring staff went above and beyond to ensure every guest felt looked after. Each morning began with an huge buffet breakfast featuring an abundance of fresh tropical fruits and delicious local delicacies. The team were constantly on hand providing local advice, organising tours and scooter hire, and helping with absolutely anything guests might need. Under the expert guidance of Mama Yati, her family team kept both the guest rooms and communal areas sparkling clean. They have genuinely thought of everything a traveller could want, and if by chance something is missing, they are incredibly quick and happy to help. Langkawi Country Lodge offers not only beautiful accommodation, but also warmth, connection and a sense of belonging that is increasingly rare to find while travelling.

I liked everything,the room was super clean,with everything you need.the breakfast was incredible,with a lot of variety of food and fresh fruit.the cafe area where they serve breakfast is lovely,with a lot of plants and flowers.Mama and her husband,the owners,are awesome friendly people that love their guests and really work hard. It was the best accomodation i had during my visit in Malesya!

“Amazing Location and Stay!!”

Excellent value for money. It's a lovely family-owned and lovingly run place. The location is great; the beach is a 5-minute walk away, and you can watch a fantastic sunset. They also rent a scoter which was very useful during the stay. Breakfast was truly amazing, with vegetarian and all kinds of egg options, prepared by a wonderful chef. We were here in Mango season, amazing Mangos from their garden!!!! We even extended our stay by staying another night. In the check-out even though we were not going to the airport, they provided transportation to our destination. Very flexible. Love it!

The hospitality was unmatched. Papa Yas and Mama Yati were available whenever we needed any help. They even provided us with all the go to places in Langkawi. The services were really good, they even provided free airport transfers. The rooms were big and spacious.

We really loved the personal and warm approach of the hosts, from the beginning they were very sweet and helpful. Family atmosphere, they gave us lot of tips for trips, local restaurants, things to do. I even asked for best SPA nearby and we loved the recommended place. You can rent a car, motorbike, and order a tour through them, which costs the same what local operators offer - you can book through them with peace of mind that they offer the best price and value. Breakfast was also amazing, choice of local fresh fruits, sweets, bread, salty local dishes and outdoor cooking station for omelettes. The owners always found time to help us, fix what was needed and stop for a chat. Me and my parents really enjoyed the whole stay, there's nothing we had problems with. Definitely recommend 10/10 and if I'm ever back to Langkawi, without hesitation or searching for something else, I would book Country lodge accommodation again.
