“Very good stay will come back again”

Love the kitchen in the Hotel as a vegetarian it helped us to cook some food and it has all the needed utensils. Water dispenser to dip coffee/tea. Owner Mr. Jay was very supportive and informative person. Great location of Hotel, was very close to Cenang Beach and shopping street. Kids loved the bunk bed and many pet cats in the property.

The owners of Homestay were so lovely! It’s very god value for money, in a great location and was perfect for us for a few nights!

Jay‘s place is so lovely. There is a fully equipped kitchen, people were cooking in evenings and having dinner together. It felt like home. Jay made everything possible to make my stay as comfortable as possible. It‘s quite and super close to the beach.

Great location really close to the beach and main road, and really nice people Didn’t stay too long but I liked it, it’s not the most confortable dorm or the best bathroom but it does the job for that price

⚠️ Important warning for female travelers I normally never write reviews like this, but I feel it is important to warn other women before they decide to stay here. I stayed in the female dorm here for a couple of days in mid-February. At first the place looks nice in photos, but my experience quickly became very uncomfortable. On the first night I was sleeping on the top bunk and the room was extremely hot. The air conditioner clearly was not working properly and the dorm felt suffocating. When I mentioned it to the owner, instead of checking the problem he became defensive and said that “no one else is complaining except you.” Later other guests also said the room was very hot, so it was clearly not just me. Another thing that made me uncomfortable was the owner talking about me to other guests and calling me a “problematic girl” simply because I raised a concern about the room temperature. That felt very unprofessional and inappropriate. But the most serious issue happened when I left. After moving to another place and unpacking my backpack, I realised my camera was missing. I am absolutely sure the camera stayed inside my backpack in the dorm and I never used it anywhere else. The owner was the one cleaning the rooms. When I asked him about it, he said he “had not seen anything.” However, after I left I stayed in contact with another girl who was still there, and later I found out that two other girls also had items stolen, including another camera and other valuables. All of us had the same suspicion. For a place that advertises female dorms, I eventually stopped feeling safe there and decided to leave. One more thing I noticed: whenever someone writes a negative review, the owner replies saying everything is “not true” and blaming the guests instead of taking responsibility. So I would not be surprised if he replies to this review saying the same. I am simply sharing my experience and warning other travelers.

Captain Jay and Fatima are really lovely and helpful. There’s a water filter where you can refill your bottle for free. The beds are really comfortable and our private room was really spacious. There are tons of cats you can play with.

Dar Yasmine has a definite island vibe - a very relaxed and friendly atmosphere. The owner was excellent; always willing to help, and have a chat. Everything, from the beach to the shops, was a short walk away. Highly recommended
