“Simply terrible!!! I did not expect to be treated so rudely and unprofessionaly by one off the staff”

I have gotten a very bad taste in my mouth about this place, unfortunately.

“Calm and cozy stay”

Peter/Pieter and Anna were wonderful hosts and we truly enjoyed our stay there. The breakfast was delicious and the bed was more comfortable than usually in Asia, according to my partner who is 193 cm and over 100 kg. The dog (dobermann) Nero loves scratches and we became good friends during our stay. This place is quite peaceful and calm but like at every other place in the Philippines you can hear roosters but their crow was barely noticable here.

The owners are extraordinary people and made us fill like home. Good breakfast, everything very clean and we get a room upgrade without asking. Love de dog Nero.

Ana and Peter were lovely hosts, poops is nice and clean, room basic but clean and lovely. Bed comfy and great that we could rent a scooter for the time we were there. Lovely stay

“Relaxing resort with gym in 50 metres”

We liked the interaction with the manager. The lady came frequently asking if we needed anything. I really like the gym just outside the resort. The swimmingpool is very clean. It is very relaxing. We rent the scooter from the manager for a good price. The room was cleaned and new towels if you ask. The manager is willing to arrange anything you ask. It is a quite surrounding which is very nice. In 800 meters there is a lovely restaurant at the beach. At the day we left we could stay in the room till 2PM witch was wonderful. Taxi arranged. Really nice place to stay.

Lovely location, lovely Filipino-German family running the business, lovely cuddling dog Nero, always ready (as well!) to welcome new guests and make them feel at home. The owners helped us in every steps in Bohol, from renting the scooter, to restaurants and tours suggestions, and finally to organise a very early pick up for a flight in the morning. Very recommended!

Nice Facility with swimming pool. The owners were kind and accommodating. Nero, their dog was cute.

I absolutely loved my stay here. Everything was perfect, but what truly made it special were the hosts family — incredibly kind, caring and welcoming people. And Nero stole my heart. One of those places you don’t want to leave.

Spacious, comfortable and quiet room and bathroom. Good breakfast and Wi-Fi. Friendly and efficient host who helped us organize trips, rented us a scooter and recommended two good restaurants within walking distance.

The host was really nice and helpful. The location is great to explore the island but secluded from more crowded and noisy beaches.

Great staying at Higala! Peter gave us great suggestion of what to do and what to avoid around the area. The location of the hotel is great , outside from the busiest street but still well connected! It’s possible to rent scooter directly from him. Breakfast was good. I got some food poisoning and Peter was helpful and kind. A plus of this place is also Nero , Peter’s dog, recommend 100%

Nice place. Good too chill and take things easy

Everything you need to spend great days in Bohol. Breakfast, rent a scooter, call a tuk tuk for the airport. Outside from the busiest streets, in a perfect location for resting and explore the island.

Four days went amazingly here! Special thanks must go to the owner Peter, who was an excellent host! Scooter rental was easy, large clean rooms, good location, quality gym next door, and a good breakfast! The guard dog Nero was also a fun addition! I can warmly recommend this place.

“Wonderful Stay – Everything You Need Is Here”

Staying here was such a wonderful experience! The vibe is amazing and makes you feel right at home. The owner was incredibly kind and always helpful with everything we needed. Breakfast was really good, and the common areas are wide open and very comfortable to relax in. The room was big, clean, and perfect for a great stay. The location couldn’t be better – close to everything you’d want to see. Honestly, this place has everything you need, and I would totally come back. Highly recommended
