“Feels like paradise”

From the very first moment, we were warmly welcomed. We felt right at home immediately. We received detailed explanations and tips on everything there was to do on the island. The cottage was very clean, as were the entire garden and the swimming pool. We were regularly asked if our guesthouse needed cleaning, and the towels were changed frequently. In addition, we were offered a tasty treat every day: fruit, yogurt, or Malaysian dishes. The yogurt was even fetched especially for our twins. We thoroughly enjoyed the hospitality and the tranquility, and the location is perfect. Our 3.5-year-old twins enjoyed themselves immensely, just like us. Thanks again for everything!

The guest house is peaceful and really well maintained. It is family run and the family are engaging and delightful. It was an absolute pleasure to stay there. The chalets are most comfortable, the pool is clean and of a size that suits both casual swimmers and those who might prefer to swim a few laps. Two coves are close by for great swimming and casual dining on the beach. Could not recommend more!

Everything! We loved the place, the owners, the garden, the little kitchen outside. They gave us fresh fruit everyday en we had a nice contact with them. The kids loved the swimming pool. If we could, we even stayed longer after one week. Loved this place so much!

We absolutely loved our stay here. It is a peaceful beautiful place to relax and swim and read, and the pantry with fridge and plates and all is very convenient to make some food and eat it at the tables outside. The airconditioning is working perfectly and we loved we could watch a little Netflix from our bed. Everything is super clean. And the hosts are very welcoming, kind and helpful. Our favourite stay in Malaysia!

What a beautiful stay we had here. Firstly to say thank you to Anua and Alia (I hope that’s the correct spelling) for welcoming us into your family home. They are the friendliest and most genuine of hosts and cannot do enough to make sure your stay is a happy one. We stayed in a chalet which was perfectly good for what we wanted. There isn’t a fridge or kettle in the room but there is an outside kitchen with a toaster and hot and cold water dispenser, free tea and coffee and a big fridge to put your stuff in. They provide spreads and jam and peanut butter etc. Breakfast isn’t included, but every morning we were served fresh fruit and coffee and occasionally Anua’s baked beans speciality. Just pop some bread in the toaster and away you go. The room was properly cleaned with a full linen change every second day. The pool is a great place to chill out. It’s only 3 foot deep, but very refreshing. It’s surrounded by deck chairs and a seating/dining area, all under shade. It’s only a 5 minute walk to the first beach and restaurants and shops. It’s very lively at weekend when all the food stalls are open and busy with visitors, it’s much quieter during the week. Coral beach is another short walk and that’s the better beach and where the popular Daddy’s bar and restaurant is. When it was reluctantly our time to leave Anua sorted ferry tickets and an early morning pink taxi bus for us. Thanks again for a wonderful stay.

The owner’s are just delightful, helping with everything you need. Little items for breakfast to advice on where to go and sorting out leaving tickets, times and taxi. We couldn’t have asked for more. What a beautiful place. We will be back.

“Unbelievable”

Alia and family were great hosts, very informative and made sure we had everything we needed. I had a special request for my girlfriend’s birthday and she made the day extra special with making sure we had the room decorated.

Anuar & Alia are simply the best host & hostess. The accommodations are simple but clean. The pool is lovely. I would surely return to stay here next time we are in Malaysia. We stayed here with our tree children and they also had a wonderful time.

“Perfect island retreat”

After a busy two weeks exploring Malaysia Nipah Guesthouse was the perfect place to rest, listen to the birds, appreciate the wonderful garden and hospitality. Anua and Alia are the most wonderful caring hosts, wanting to ensure their guests have the best stay possible, and providing little extras like a beach mat that was very useful. Anua brought fresh fruit from the market at the other side of the island each morning, and I enjoyed talking to him about the plants he grew in the garden. Diva the cat was an added bonus for me too. The little cabin was delightful to stay in, very clean and comfortable. Yes the mattress was firm as others have mentioned but I slept very well on it. 200 metres to a gorgeous quiet beach. During the week it is very quiet and apparently over the weekend there are many street stalls and is a lot busier. As a single older female traveller I wouldn’t hesitate in recommending this lovely oasis and I would love to return one day. Thank you both so much

A wonderful place to stay on the island. The owners were very welcoming, treated us to their traditional breakfasts, and were always ready to help with any questions we had. The room is simple, and some might find the shared shower right in the toilet inconvenient. The room has air conditioning, a fan, and a TV. The sea is just 5 minutes away.
