“Bed bugs!”

When I first arrived at the hotel the staff were very disorganised, completely unaware that I even had a booking at their hotel, not to mention that their reception was much less a reception and more of a grubby shack. When I eventually got shown to my room the standards were definitely less than hoped for. The room had a strong stench of mould with little bugs crawling and flying around the room, and mould and peeling painting on the walls. The bathroom continued this trend. The stench of mould and dank surfaces was stronger here. The floor was covered in suspect stains and the walls once again covered in mould, not to forget to mention the rat droppings on the ground and used cigarette butt. The shower also had abysmal water pressure and a non functioning water heater. To accompany this shower, the toilet was not securely attached to the ground, and had a less than desirable (not present) flushing system. All of this was manageable, but the final straw was the bed. Pulling back the sheets they were stained, and after close inspection, I discovered little bed bugs. Terrible! I informed the owner and she was not at all shocked. If you don’t want bed bugs I recommend not staying here
