I have been living in Tanzania for a year, and I have never received such a warm and genuine welcome. The staff at Pangani Cliffs Lodge make you feel at home in the smallest details: your name beautifully written on the welcome board at reception, their readiness to meet any need, their kindness, and the care they put into every little thing. Everything was simply outstanding. The lodge is set in the heart of nature, with direct access to both a beautiful pool and an unspoiled beach. The food is delicious, the cleanliness is impeccable, and every corner of the property feels thoughtfully designed. I had mentioned to the staff that it would be my husband’s birthday and simply asked for a small candle. Instead, they surprised us with heartfelt birthday songs from the entire team and a personalized cake—such a touching and unforgettable gesture. From the breathtaking views to the warm smiles that greet you every day, Pangani Cliffs Lodge is truly a piece of paradise. We left with our hearts full, and I sincerely hope to return soon.

Pangani Cliffs Lodge is simply a dream location. The main attraction is the omnipresent Indian Ocean, which can be enjoyed around the clock from various seating and sunbathing areas thanks to careful design. What makes this accommodation really stunning is the incredibly warm, thoughtful and yet relaxed and unobtrusive staff. The friendly owners Wilmke and Ricardo, manager Rama and all the staff, such as Samuel and Ambrose, really do everything for the well-being of their guests. What a wonderful luxury to have a tray of tea and coffee on the terrace outside your room at sunrise, decorated with fresh flowers from the wonderful garden! I could go on for pages about the beauty of the place and the grounds, as well as the extraordinary, just too loving hospitality. Simply unique. Next time I will stay longer than two days and nights. Thank you, everybody!

We had the pleasure of staying at The Cliffs Lodge in Pangani and it was an absolutely exceptional experience. The lodge offers a peaceful and serene environment that immediately makes you feel at home. With only a few rooms, it provides an intimate and private experience, which makes the whole atmosphere incredibly charming and personal. The owners, a lovely Dutch couple, are some of the warmest and most engaging hosts I've ever encountered. They genuinely care about their guests and are always ready to share fascinating stories about their lives and insights in the Tanzanian life. The staff are also incredibly attentive and dedicated, always ensuring that every need is met with a smile. The level of care and service is truly remarkable and adds so much to the overall experience. The food was absolutely delicious – fresh, flavorful, and authentic. You can tell that a lot of thought and care goes into every dish. The Cliffs Lodge is the perfect getaway for those wanting to escape the hustle and bustle and experience something truly special. I can't recommend it highly enough!

This is a beautiful hideaway at the coast. Wip and Roberto - thanks a lot for your hospitality! We stayed in one of the bungalows, imagine to have a shower under the stars. Everything is of selected taste, and the cuisine excellent. The personal is very attentive. There a many lovely places to sit, relax and watch the everchanging sea. A little wild beach surprised us, try the pools during low tide.

The place is like a paradise, in many points of the lodge you can seat and relax with a wonderful view to the sea, the staff is fantastic and friendly, they are very kind and good people always willing to help you. It is the perfect location if you want to live an authentic experience in Tanzania, they can offer you unique tours around Pangani and the villages. We had many request but they always helped us, specially we needed to arrive to Zanzibar and they found us a transportation from Ushongo. And as last point the dinner and breakfast were fantastic and have the right combination of African flavours.

Everything was wonderful! Well maintained, overlooking the ocean, many private sitting areas, helpful staff, delicious food. Also, they provided water shoes and hats for walking on the beach/tide pools and some sand toys for our 2 year old son, all complimentary.

Upon arrival, we were immediately surprised by the unique location of this lodge, situated on the top of a cliff with a rich history. Amongst it’s endless beach and rich marine life, it also serves as the perfect spot to watch the sunset and find your inner peace. The rooms, restaurant & other facilities, clearly taking into account principles such as ecology and sustainability, contributed to this experience. Most of all, we would like to thank the owners and staff, who all give their best during our stay, a healthy mix between passion and giving chances to the local communities. The welcome that Jennifer & I got from Rama (Manager) when we arrived was most impressive & it set the tone for our 5 day 4 night stay. All the staff were good mannered, friendly & professional. They went out of their way to make sure we were always comfortable and kept informed of the menus & activities. Ricardo & Vip (owners) were on hand each day to connect & checkin with us to see if we were enjoying the experience at their wonderful lodge. It certainly is an escape hideaway treasure, right on the beautiful Swahili coast in Pangani. A peaceful paradise, a place to relax with amazing sunrise views & waking each morning to the soothing sound of the birds dawn chorus. The bandas are beautifully prepared & furnished to the highest standards. Pangani Cliff Lodge is off-grid but has its own onsite state of the art Solar powered system with provides 24hour coverage which was most welcome to power lights, wifi & particularly the fans all through the hot balmy nights. We enjoyed exploring the amazing coral rock pools at low tide on their private beach & frolicking in the swimming pool every late afternoon before sundown. The meals were beautifully presented, varied & scrumptious. We thoroughly enjoyed the relaxing massages outdoor on the cliff top listing to the sounds of the ocean.
