The property is immersed in African nature, extremely quiet. Bungalows very large. The restaurant and breakfast are good and plentiful. The staff was always very helpful.

We loved absolutely everything! If you’d like to experience the real Tanzania, to see the authentic life and some peace and quiet (recommended for example when you’re on the way from Dar to Lushoto or you just have a few days after/before Zanzibar), we can’t recommend Bahari more! Francesco, the owner, is an amazing italian guy who made us feel at home and truly taken care of. He also showed us around and helped with our transportation. His level of hospitality is amazing. The accommodation is comfy and pretty and we would definitely come back again.

I had an excellent stay at Bahari Pori. The staff is very friendly and well trained. Francesco, the owner, makes sure you feel at home and arranges a lot if you need. But it is also fine when you don't need any assistance. The location is nicely set-up, rooms are clean and prices very reasonable. I hope to come back next year on one of my trips.

Francesco is the definition of a gracious host, full of information about the area, and able to make you feel completely at ease and at home. The food is also a cut above, and I loved the interior design of the place using driftwood from the beach. Can't recommend a visit to Bahari Pori more strongly.

Francesco and his team were excellent hosts. We enjoyed a wonderful tour through the mangrove forest by the beach and were able to stay an extra night in a beautiful house, fully equipped with all the amenities. The warmth and friendliness were outstanding. Thank you!

The place is beautiful. From a special tour to the mangroves to a very peaceful part of the beach, also monkeys passing by and you can watch them during your morning coffee. Everything is special at this place. Thanks a lot Francesco and Team, especially Joseph who showed us a lot around!

There are individual huts or cabins, each with its own place to sit outside in the shade, wìth a comfortable and well furnished interior. The service was very good indeed, as was the food. A walk through the mangroves at low tide to the sea is also thoroughly recommended, as is a visit to Pangani and the market.

“A great place to relax and renew”

A most idyllic spot. You wake to the ocean sounds on the nearby Mangrove beach and sunsets to make your soul sing. The food was delicious. We bought a fish from the fisherman on the beach and the owner cooked it for us sealed in salt. They have a wood fired pizza oven, so the pizzas tasted great. They knocked down a babaeo fruit for me to taste from their tree,then made it into a wonderful juice. The staff just made you feel like long lost family. We arrived by public bus from Tanga. You can be dropped off outside the gate rather than continuing to Pangani 8km further on. The road is still under construction,so be prepared. There is no swimming beach here, but we were taken on a great Mangrove walk at low tide. The tented accommodation was spacious and comfortable. It does get dark at night so our torches helped .

Amazing spot to experience the forest and the beach at the same time. What a heaven!

“Grazie Bahari Pori!”

The staff was really amazing! We've had a very long drive the day we arrived and were really tired and hungry. The staff and owner (Francesco) helped us with our bags and made an amazing fresh seafood pizza. Our plan was to stay for one night but we immediately changed our plan to stay longer! The next day we wanted to go to Pangani, two members of the staff (Vivienne and Samuel) went with us, showed us around and we had a great lunch in the new restaurant of the same owner, the Pahe! The restaurant and the resort where both a very beautiful mix of Swahili and Italian atmosphere and had an eye for detail. We again thank the whole crew of Bahari Pori and wish them good luck with the new restaurant!

Breakfast under the shade of magnificent baobabs, comfortable clean luxury tents, rock pools big enough to lie down in, incredible beach walks and views, stunningly kind service - our comfort and wishes were paramount!

A nice little paradise with exceptional staff headed by Francesco, who will go the extra mile to ensure a wonderful stay. Great food too!

The location, the well crafted traditional design of the bandas, but above everything the staff. Francesco and his team were all friendly and professional, the service was spotless and everything was very well organised. We also booked some nice day trips and worth mentioning as well that the pizzas were excellent.

Absolutely lovely little place to stay on the Pangani coast. The scenery is beautiful, the ‘tents’ are very comfortable and wonderfully equipped and the staff are all friendly and helpful. The food from the restaurant is delicious, with proper Italian pizza. The owner Francesco is a lovely man and a wonderful host who organised a river tour on the Pangani for us. I would definitely recommend staying at Bahari Pori.

Fabulous location close to a beautiful area of coast with mangroves and lots of wildlife. Really friendly and helpful staff and the owner Francesco responded really quickly to our queries and was super-helpful. Food and accomodation were both excellent.
