He is a local and is extremely knowledgeable about the area. He is a very engaging guide, and speaks excellent English. Highly recommended!

“Beautiful homestay with personal attention and unique nature experiences”

We stayed for two nights at this beautiful homestay and had an amazing experience. The place is built with great care and love and feels warm and welcoming. The shower is excellent and the bed is very comfortable, so we slept wonderfully and truly felt at ease. Gai and Jittra took excellent care of us, preparing delicious dinners and breakfasts. As a lovely extra, Gai even roasted sweet potatoes for us on the fire. We highly recommend spending a day exploring with Gai. In the morning, we visited the amazing caves together, and in the afternoon we went on a beautiful hike to the top of the mountain, where we were rewarded with a stunning view. The caves are an absolute must-see experience. Gai has an incredible amount of knowledge about the caves and the surrounding nature, and we learned so much from him. Safety is clearly a priority: he uses professional equipment and helmets with lights, instead of the smelly petroleum lamps used by other guides. He also has great respect for nature and the environment, which makes the experience even more special. Tip: from this homestay, you can walk to Nam Lod Cave in about 20 minutes. Go around sunset to witness an unforgettable natural spectacle as thousands of swifts fly into the cave at the same time. Definitely book this homestay with this kind and caring couple. You won’t regret it.

“The greatest place during our two-month trip.”

If I could give a higher rating than 10 once, this place would deserve it. We originally only booked one night to visits the cave but shortly after arriving, decided to extend for an other night and also do the one-day trekking trip the next day. We stayed in the cottage and it was the cleanest, most comfortable place in our two-month trip through Thailand. The mattress was incredible comfortable, it had a western standard. The bathroom was big and the shower hot. The nights were quiet and we got a great rest. We had breakfast and dinner there and the food was very good. But what made the place really special and unforgettable were the hosts. We had two very nice evenings around the fire with good conversation. It was the best insight in modern Thai life during our trip. Also, the trekking trip was amazing. It was not just hiking but planned out with a lot of variety and didn’t get boring once. I can only recommend multiple nights there and doing one of the day activities that are also offered.

“Comfortable guest house with excellent tours”

We had a lovely stay at GJ. The accommodation and food were excellent. Location is right in the middle of the village, but very quiet. The caving tour was incredible.

“Perfect stay when visiting the cave”

We stayed with our 4 year odl kid. Great location close to the cave, super clean, the room, bathroom, even the trash bin smelled amazing :) loved the bed sheets and how comfy the bed was..you can tell the whole place is new, lovely owners, spoke english pretty well, which from our exeprience is not so common in this area.. , the lady of the house cooked very tasty breakfast for us. Recommended!!!

Best stay during our 6 weeks in Thailand. Very friendly and helpful hosts. The rooms are very clean and comfortable. The surroundings are breathtaking. We did a little trekking in the jungle and explored 3 caves with the host. He speaks very good English and is very professional. His wife prepared amazing food for a very good price. We really recommend this homestay and tour.

“Amazing stay at G J TOURS”

We had an unbelievable stay with Jittra and Gai. They were very welcoming, and after explaining, my sister has twisted her ankle recently. Gai adapted our trip to Tham Lod cave to make it possible for us both to visit this spectacular place. Gai is born and raised in Tham Lod , so as a guide, he is amazing, explaining in detail the history of the cave and the surrounding area with great pride and knowledge. By staying at their homested, we were able to visit the caves after the day tourists had left, and witnes the awsomme sight of the swifts returning to the cave and the bats going off into the night. Jittra also accompanied me to the Tuesday market where hill tribe people join together to sell their wares. She spent time explaining the different foods and spices. Jittra cooked us amazing food during our stay. Gai also does one to three day trecks, for more active guests (I wish I was ten years younger ) as his knowledge and good Engish speaking skills would make these trips fabulous. I really would recommend staying for at least 2 nights to take a tour with Gai rather than doing a long arduous day trip from Pai with a guide who doesn't have the knowledge and enthusiasm of Gai. We hope to return one day.

“Nice place with great hosts.”

The hosts, Jittra and Gail, are helpful and really nice. They helped us with bus tickets and Jittra makes really good food. The place is clean and comfortable with nice garden and gorgeous views.

“Absolutely recommendable. A little gem off the beaten track”

Jittra & Gai are excellent hosts. We arrived shortly before midday and were treated to a special meal. Which, by the way, was very plentiful and good. The breakfast is very varied and recommendable. The rooms are very new and relaxing, very clean and well maintained. We have rarely experienced such good bathroom equipment. A luxury to find everything like this. Jittra & Gai can also provide useful tips. We felt very comfortable and can only recommend the short detour there. The nearby cave can be reached on foot. We saw the spectacle in the evening when thousands of swallows returned to the cave. Absolutely recommendable!

Gorgeous hosts, so helpful, amazing food. Interesting to chat around the fire in the evening. Also such a beautiful area, Gai is a tour guide so plenty of great opportunities to go exploring.

Gai and his wife are wonderful cheerful people with a lot of knowledge about the area. The little “cottage” is brand new and spotless. The village is lovely and the campfire at night in the garden very cosy. The food menu is very complete and taste very good (and most items can be made vegetarian). Even better fare is just a five minute walk away at Nongluk restaurant.

the location is perfect the owners are very kind and it's nice to sit around the fire pit in the evening with them fresh cooked food was very good. plus Ki the owner is a tour guide and speaks very good English so you can book your tours with them.

Very warm welcome, peaceful and comfortable place. Good windows, good shower, comfortable beds, very clean. Very helpful and professional hosts speaking very good English. Close to tourist attractions. Possibility to eat very well anytime on site as well as possibility to organize guided tours, visits, transportation, transfers, motorbike rentals, etc. Our best homestay during our 1-month trip.

Very clean, spacious and tidy bedroom, the owners are amazing, J cooks amazing meals by order, I had nice time around the fireplace, nice chat. Definitely recommend it.
