Marvin, the do—all, is an asset! He organizes just anything for you: Tuktuks, hikes, food etc. The location is wonderfully kept, the access to the lake is excellent, the views breathtaking.

Balam Ya is a wonderful boutique property, where you can have your private moment. While the location is fantastic, right on the lake with its private jetty, the best thing about the property is its staff. Marvin, the Manager was extremely responsive to all our needs. He ensured that we had the perfect stay. Can't thank him enough.

The whole cabin was amazing. The room was comfortable and the facilities excellent. The view was unbelievable, especially for the sunset. The property is a good location, nearby to the large town where a lot of the tours go from. We were also able to get a boat tour right from the jetty at the property

Absolutely everything. The villa was beautiful, the beds were comfy, the view was spectacular. The staff went out of their way to be so kind and helpful. I cannot thank them enough. Their service is stellar. Nothing is too much trouble. If I could give them a higher rating than 10 I would.

Breakfast was great, staff was exceptional! Rooms were beautiful and space was unreal! Gorgeous views in every direction, and easy access to kayaks, accessible staff for any questions, etc.

“Unique, tranquil & magical stay”

Balam Ya is one of the most unique and stunning places I have ever stayed. With several lodges overlooking the breath-taking views of lake Atitlan and a private pier & jetty, it is a very special place to stay. Marvin made sure we were well looked after, booking TukTuks, activities and boat transfers all through WhatsApp, and kayaks and SUPs are complimentary. The villa is a short TukTuk drive from Panjachel, but far enough away to be very quiet and secluded. We loved our stay and would highly recommend it for anyone looking for a unique, special experience.

“peaceful spot on lake Atitlan”

the position on the lake meant we could go swimming each morning . It was quiet and well equipped. It was like having our own home on the lake. There are other guests staying in other houses but we didn’t notice them. The breakfast was simple but good and you can order extra things if you want.

One of the nicest locations we've ever stayed in across 65+ countries. The team were so helpful and kind, particularly given my husband was ill whilst there. They also organised transport from the airport and onto Antigua plus we used the tuk tuk drivers they use who were great. The views and the gardens are sublime, a little piece of heaven
