Our stay at La Mona was truly wonderful. Beginning with the location, it is good the reach by mototaxi and still it is really in the middle of nature. A perfect place to calm down, relax and explore the nature around. I loved the river and it is possible to swim there. Furthermore our host Angela provided us with all the information we needed upfront and she was always there for every question. Also the food and her hospitality were remarkable and was one of the best in Colombia so far. I will definitely come back one day to this wonderful place.

Our host Angela was a true angel !! She didnt only support me through the whole booking and traveling process she also made our stay an unforgettable adventure! From having breakfast with a panoramic view till the snow topped mountains to nights under the starlit sky falling asleep hearing the mysterious jungle sounds. She spoiled us with her exceptional cooking skills and organized everything from transport to activities in Palomino! Truely making this an incredible birthday gift for my boyfriend!

The view was unforgettable, the personnel was very nice, thanks for the good company Nikki. The food was good and reasonably priced considering the location. All facilities were good. The lighting was very nice one of the best we had in south America.

“Rescued horses in the middle of the jungle”

Really enjoyed our stay here, the owner and team are very welcoming and open to help with any plans in the area. The things we were looking for were: 1. Off the beaten track 2. Amazing jungle views Bonus: The place rescues horses(!) Doing the horseride across the rivers in the middle of the jungle was an amazing experience, so definitely recommend doing that with them during your stay. It also supports them taking care of their rescued horses.

What an amazing place. Firstly the location, only 20mins from Palomino, but you feel like your world's away. A truly beautiful part of the earth, serine, tranquil and one of the most beautiful views I've had the pleasure of seeing in Colombia and beyond. All enjoyed with the comfort of some beautifully designed cabanas. Secondly, the two wonderful lady's who welcome you warmly, and continue that throughout your stay. They provide a great calm, relaxed, atmosphere that only adds to the location. The food in a delight, healthy, fresh. Great communal area with well stocked kitchen and a pool...... I could go on...... Highly recommend!!!!

Incredible space with beautiful and very helpful hosts, highly exceeded any expectations that I had. Every meal was delicious and thoughtfully executed, and that with a view of the hills, mountains and horses(dont miss out on an amazing tour whilst here).. The cabaña had everything one would need for a relaxing time away from the crowd. Extended my stay and will definitely come back again.. Thank you so much Lois and Nikki for your warmth and love x

“Beautiful and relaxing”

It feels like you’re in the middle of nowhere but you’re actually 15min from town. The cabins are so beautiful and clean and the view is just breathtaking. You feel relaxed only by looking at it. Also the chilling area is super cute, there’s a pool and hamacas that you can use. And the fooooood, just amazing. The host are super nice as well, I really recommend it!!

I've had a wonderful time at La Mona Eco Cabin, both hosts (Loïs & Nikki) were very welcoming. The Cabins were clean and the bed was super comfortable with one of the most stunning views Ive had in Colombia, overseeing the jungle. Im recommending this place to everyone and wish the team all the best!

“In love with this beautiful place”

I had the honor and pleasure of being one of the first guests of this new gem. It was absolutely magical! The cabins are super open but still very private, and I woke up to the most beautiful views of the snowy peaks of the Sierra Nevada. The food was amazing and healthy, I had dinner here at la Mona but also had lunch with a local family. I loved that so many local people were involved and I got to experience their hospitality as well. They also have beautiful and healthy horses to go on tour with, which really made this experience unforgettable! The surroundings are absolutely beautiful. I've been to places with this kind of nature and views, but it was always a hassle to reach. But this place was really easy to reach with a moto taxi from Palomino. The host, Lois, was so welcoming and I felt at home immediately. I only got to stay one night but I'll be back soon! Highly recommend!
