Beautiful, quiet, relaxing, affordable.

“Felt like a high-end back packer hotel but certainly not high-end”

The pool area is great and provided a nice area to meet and speak with people. Location was good, very quiet. It was a 5-10min walk to the start of town and about 20mins slow walk with the family to the part of the beach that you can actually sit down. Breakfast was great - fresh fruit, eggs, pancakes. Top. Staff were friendly and sorted a transfer from Santa Marta airport.

It's like a small oasis, very green around a small pool, with the cabins and rooms around it. I had a very nice cabin (airconditioned!) with a small covered patio for myself, including a hammock. Conveniently there was also a small safe in the room. But best was the staff, they were very friendly, especially the two ladies who made breakfast to order every morning. I don't eat breakfast normally, but here it was one of the highlights of my day. Best arepas and huevo perico I've had the whole trip. If I ever move to Colombia, this will definitely influence how i want my house to be.

Initially i was given the wrong room without ac but after speaking with the receptionist and showing that my booking included ac i was transferred to the room i booked. I was not given a key to open the gate late at night and i had to ring and wait for someone to let me in which was a bit uncomfortable.

“A little slice of Indonesia tucked away in Colombia”

Rate Ekaa Hotel in Palomino feels like a little slice of Indonesia tucked away in Colombia. The design, decoration and atmosphere are very calming, surrounded by greenery and Indonesian statues, vintage pieces, and beautiful plants. It’s the kind of place that instantly helps you unwind. They offer massages too, which are the perfect way to fully relax. It's not far from the street where all the activity, restaurants and shops are, but far enough to be quiet and relaxing. The staff were incredibly helpful. The breakfast was delicious , and to top it all off, there are a few lovely cats around the property that make the whole place feel even more homely. A true hidden paradise!

“Chill-Out and cozy stay in Palomino!”

Loved this accommodation! In fact the best 2 night we have had in our 2 weeks in Colombia. We really wanted to stayed longer! Super tranquil and cozy hotel, very comfy bed, AC, fridge, fan. Secure rooms and in the surroundings. We really enjoyed the garden and the swimming pool The staff was so heart warming and “simpáticos” :))). Very good location too, away from the noisy Main Street but close enough 5 min by foot, 10 min to the beach. 50 meters from the hotel (around the corner) there’s a family supermarket “tienda Dos Mujeres” (google doesn’t show it), we bought there fruits, snacks and beverages to keep in our fridge. This store also serves as small local hang-out spot and it was always nice to drop by and get cheaper products than right in the centric street.

Of the four hotels I've experienced in Palomino this was the sweetest of them all. It is the perfect size, being small. Each bungalow is nestled around the most magical pool. Very quiet. Also because it is off from the main streets which are a short 10 to 15 minute walk away. Comfortably sized, calm and tastefully decorated Bungalows. I slept well; also for the bed. Shower spacious and working without hiccups. The whole place is being kept spotlessly clean by the two lovely maids who also make a really nice breakfast for you. Very nice staff during the day. Also the night guards who not only had a good tip where to grab a bite after a late arrival but would also start quietly cleaning the pool every morning before sunrise so that a morning swim amongst the colibris may be enjoyed. Thanks for such a lovely stay.

We loved this place, well beyond our expectations. Really nicely located 'cottage' rooms in lovely garden by the pool. Could have stayed longer! lovely staff, aircon, security and breakfast upped our ratings! Recommended!

It’s a nice and peaceful oasis in a quiet area in Palomino. The rooms are super clean and the staff is doing everything to make you enjoy your stay. I personally was a bit sick while staying in Ekaa and felt all the time taken care of by the lovely staff.

It's very tranquil and pretty. The room is spacious and the bathroom nice. The garden is gorgeous and breakfast was tasty.

The rooms are spacious, big bed, super nice staff! Loved the pool and a nice walk to the beach! Great breakfast too! We booked an extra night as we loved this place!
