This is an honest objective review of my one day stay at Addimora and I was in transit for a conference. I was excited when I booked it thinking it would be nice to experience the local flavour of the city but was disappointed. The good stuff: Location is great and it's walking distance to the shopping district and other places of interest. The room was ok. Andrea was the host. The no so good so good stuff: The entrance to the apartment building is under repair so it was hard to get my luggage in. Andrea speaks very limited English so it's hard to communicate unless you have a translator app. This is NOT a place for a traveller used to amenities of a Hotel like the Garibaldi which is close to the Addimora. It is for backpacker travelling. No clear instructions were given to access the apartment so I waited 10 minutes on the street with all my luggage since nobody answered the phone number. DO NOT book this place is you are a family, have mobility issues , have 23kgs of luggage and cannot climb steep steps. All the rooms are in the converted attic with a set of steeps steps to climb. I almost fell with my heavy suitcase as there is no help. I was leaving early and the breakfast provided was poorly packaged and meh so I left it in the room. I paid 125 euros which was not cheap for a place like this and I would not recommend this place at all at all if you are not a backpackerbit more of a seasoned traveller used to a hotel. Lastly the room is like Icarus! There are no shades or blinds so the sun streams in till 9pm! The windows are on the ceiling of the attic and there is no way to block the sun out. The floor was very dirty when I walked around barefooted. The host need to be honest and put up the points I mentioned on the listing especially if someone has mobility issues or luggage. I would not stay here ever again.

The accommodation was very clean and tidy. The location is excellent, close to everything, and I felt safe throughout my stay. Special praise goes to the staff – very polite and helpful. Breakfast was also great – varied and delicious. Highly recommended!

“A perfect base for a Christmas stay in Palermo”

We really loved our stay. We spent Christmas at Addimora and it was a truly wonderful experience. We were a group of six and stayed in double rooms with private bathrooms. The rooms are beautifully designed, very atmospheric, and thoughtfully furnished, with high-quality toiletries provided in the bathrooms. At first, I was a bit concerned that the rooms do not have standard wall windows, only skylights – but there was absolutely no need to worry. The rooms are very bright and comfortable. The bedroom skylight is automatically operated: it can be opened with a button and has two blinds – an inner one that lets in light and an outer one that completely darkens the room. A huge highlight was the breakfast. The menu is simple but very well planned, with a choice of items – after two days, everyone already had their favourites. The staff are incredibly kind and helpful, and the owners stayed in constant, friendly contact with us. On one day we had a very early departure for a day trip, and when we asked to pack some breakfast items to take away (yogurt and buns), it was absolutely no problem. The location is excellent – very close to cafés, restaurants, and the main pedestrian areas. These were wonderful Christmas holidays in Palermo. We wholeheartedly and warmly recommend Addimora!
