“Wonderful stay”
Joe is a wonderful host and we really enjoyed our stay here. The hut and bathroom were really clean. A five minute walk brings you to a lot of restaurants and the city center. The beach is basically directly in front and wonderful to visit at any time. We recommend this place and would also come here again. Breakfast was excellent and varied with every day.

“Great value and location”
New owner/manager just reopened in June '25. 50m to the beach, can see beach from elevated breakfast deck, is on the beach sand. Great value, surrounded by bars/restaurants/beach clubs - if you dont eat in, which was good. Is not a 5 star resort, Zanzibar is a developing island. Paje beach is a developing place but can see work getting done on the roads.

“Amazing authentic place, highly recommended.”
Very authentic accomodation literally “on the beach” with great manager Joe and his amazing, whole-hearted staff and importantly a new member, amazingly cute puppy Nyota. This combination is a guaranteed pleasant stay. Cant forget to mention great bar and a brand new doning menu from a chef from Ibiza.

Our stay at Beach Bandas was pleasant. The location is perfect- just a few steps from the beach but away from the hustle and bustle. The bungalows are set in a beautiful, well mantained garden. During our stay, we learned that Joe, the host, recently took over the management of the property and is working on improving some aspects to make everything even more enjoyable. Joe is a friendly and very helpful host, and he will surely make this place even more magical.

“Special experience”
Telal the owner is a nice guy, he also advised us about our trips and found us the best driver. Bandas are very central in Paje Beach and everything is pretty close. Restaurant is also very good!

“A very pleasant stay!”
I stayed there one month ago and I'm so glad I did. The place is very cozy and well maintained. The garden is so beautiful and the huts are nice and comfortable. The location is also excellent,50m from the beach,but away from the noisy part. The dogs are super friendly and it felt like they were protecting the place. Ainoa was an excellent host,recommending events around the area and also making sure I'm always comfortable.The rest of the stuff was also very helpful and so kind. The breakfast was fresh and tasty...different kinds of breakfast surprising me every day. Amazing for a budget friendly accommodation! I miss this place and I definitely recommend it!

Bungallows and stuff are nice. Also the location. We loved the rooftop and view during breakfast. You have to expect that you will be in the bungallows, where comfort wont be the first thing. Would come back. Also nice breakfast.

“Chill athmospere / room cleaned / good staff”
The hotel has its own charm. Not fancy type more cosy style. Exactly what I was looking for for my holiday in Paje. Location is very good with the access to the beach. Special Kudos to Linet and Juma who always had something to share or just a smile. I really felt at home thanks to them!

The owner Talal was very welcoming and very informative. The staff was great, especially Maria. Location is great and quiet. Beautifuly set and fantastic gardens. Breakfast was great with good choices

Paje beach bandas are lovely small apartments built in a sustainable way fitting perfect into the landscape. The breakfast was great and the food of the Mexican restaurant delicious. The place is also super close to the beach and near the village.

Really friendly and warm and welcoming stuff. The owner helped us before arrival with information. Transfer war brilliant. Super nice mexican food and drinks. Close to the beach. Good WLAN in the huts (which was rare in Tansania). We can highly recommend this place.
