“Nice and relaxing atmosphere”

We loved the nice relaxed atmosphere at the hotel. The staff were nice, serviceminded and helpful . The breakfast was very nice with a good varied selection and especially the homemade jam made an impression. We also enjoyed being so close to the beach.

My stay at Hi Zanzibar was nothing short of amazing. From the moment I arrived, I felt genuinely welcomed by the entire staff, who made my experience truly special from beginning to end. The food was absolutely delicious—every meal exceeded my expectations. You can really tell that care and attention go into every dish, and it quickly became one of my favorite parts of the stay. I looked forward to every breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The staff deserves the biggest thank you. Every single person was incredibly kind, attentive, and always ready to help with a smile. They created such a warm and friendly atmosphere that made me feel completely at home. It’s rare to find a team that is so consistently thoughtful and dedicated—this truly made all the difference. One of the highlights was definitely the rooftop view—simply amazing. Watching the scenery from up there, especially during sunset, was unforgettable and added such a special touch to the entire experience. Overall, everything about Hi Zanzibar was fantastic—the food, the service, the atmosphere, and the beautiful views. I am so grateful to the entire team for making my stay so memorable. I would absolutely come back and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Zanzibar.

The staff was kind, loadshedding was not bad as there was a generator. The food was good and the rooftop pool was beautiful. They did a beautiful birthday message for me on the bed with balloons. The hotel is close to the beach and the restaurants.

I really enjoyed my time in Hi Zanzibar, the rooftop is amazing, the food incredible and the personal so nice and kind specially the waitress James he was so nice with us. The place is just lest than 5 min to the beach. The room was super comfy and Cosi I will definitely recommend this place! Thank you all!

Best of the best in Paje

The room itself was basic but clean, a nice welcoming note on the bed made with flowers & palms and the sunset rooftop views were beautiful. The owner was friendly and polite and check in was an easy process. Breakfast was included and sufficient. If you’re in Zanzibar to party, this would probably be a really fun place to stay.

The location is perfect just in the center of Paje! It’s one of the only rooftop bars around and the sunsets from up there are just incredible! The rooms are nice and clean. The most we loved the staff, they are all amazing and super friendly! The owners are really the best! They are so friendly and helpful with anything! I highly recommend the stay!

The hosts Marleen and Jörg are very nice. The area is very nice, you can connect with the locals, they are very friendly. Very close to the amazing beach! I will come again
