“Amazing and relaxing”

This wasn’t my first stay at Drifters Hostel in Paje, and that’s a good indication of how much I enjoy staying here. I spent two nights this time and once again had a great experience. The atmosphere is friendly and relaxed, the staff are welcoming and helpful, and the location is perfect for enjoying Paje and the beach. For a budget friendly hostel, I am impressed that they have a powered generator, which makes a big difference during power outages. Great value for money, and I will definitely stay here again.

The whole place is such a nice open area right on the beachfront. There is a clean well maintained pool. The bungalows themselves were clean with a good fan and private bathroom. The food and drinks were reasonably priced aswell. The staff are very helpful and kind.

The beach front view is absolutely amazing - easy access to all of the beach front restaurants and activities. The staff are great, David especially makes everyone feel at home and is always looking to improve guest experiences.

This is the place for backpackers to stay in Zanzibar. Great vibes.

I had an incredible time at Drifters. The location is brilliant on the beach, the facilities are great. I stayed in a private room with bathroom and it was perfect. I travel solo as a female and I felt very safe here with security and a great environment. The food is also great, and perfect place to chill in the day and also socialise in the evening. The owner is lovely and very attentive with guests. I kept extending my stay I had such a nice time here.

I stayed at Drifters for 8 days, and the location is truly great. I never felt alone. it’s a wonderful choice for solo travelers and for socializing. The owner was very attentive, and the staff were incredibly friendly. Whenever I needed anything, they were always there to help.

The location is unmatched, right on the beachfront with a bar, pool and plenty of lounges. The dorm rooms are spacious and surprisingly quiet because of all the fans and at the back of the property away from the noise of the bar which is great. The staff are always super lovely and helpful and the vibe is the best! Will definitely be back!

Fantastic place right next to the sea in Paje. Very sociable with a great mix of locals and travellers to meet. Awesome swimming pool and communal area, with friendly and helpful staff. I came for 3 days and stayed a week.

“Had an amazing stay”

This is my to go to hostel, I always stay at drifters, the staff are very friendly and helpful, they have delicious food and waking up with a view of the beach is just amazing. Never had trouble meeting other travelers here so that’s a plus.

I was pleasantly surprised by the place’s coziness, especially for a hostel. The location was beautiful, and the pool was large and refreshing. It’s right on the beach, so you can swim in the sea or in the pool if you want. There were plenty of sun loungers. In the evenings, people gathered to sit and relax, with music and such. The location was really good—easy to walk along the beach to restaurants and the town.

“Incredible location”

The location is amazing. The vibes are chill. Try e pool is clean. It is easy to meet people. I stayed in the female dormitory and there it is incredible easy to meet people. Almost everyone is solo travelling. I was supposed to stay a week, but I keep booking more nights. The place is pretty cool. For food I would highly recommend the tuna sandwich!

The location in Paje is perfect—right on the beach front, it’s a walking distance to so many restaurants, and all the fun that the area has to offer. Whether you’re into kitesurfing, beach days, or just relaxing, Drifters puts you right where you want to be. If you want a place with amazing people, staff and fun nights, great food, and that unbeatable island vibe, Drifters Hostel is the place to be. Highly recommended!
