“Serious safety incident during our stay”

During our stay, an intruder entered the apartment through the kitchen window while we were inside and stole cash and my passport. The property was described as safe, with security, high fences, and an electric fence. After the incident, we were informed that the electric fence had not been functioning. This information was never communicated to us beforehand. What was particularly concerning is that after the incident, other guests staying on the property were not informed or warned to be more cautious. Life continued as usual, with windows left open at night, which felt very unsafe given what had just happened. After the theft, the host told us that the passport would be returned. It was later brought to the police, which was unexpected and did not reduce how frightening and serious the situation was for us. This was a very distressing experience, and we did not feel safe. The incident has been reported to Booking.com. I strongly recommend future guests to carefully consider the safety situation before booking.

“Wonderful stay”

We could not be more satisfied with our stay at Bantu Home. My family stayed there over the Christmas holidays (25/26), and everything exceeded our expectations. The two-bedroom apartment was spotless, very comfortable, and well equipped with all the amenities we needed as foreign visitors, whenever electricity was available. The property is very well located, just a few minutes’ walk from the beach, which was a real plus. The owner was extremely helpful, always reachable, and very responsive. When we requested a power plug adapter, it arrived within five minutes. We were also proactively informed about power cuts, which are quite common on the island — a level of communication we truly appreciated. The concierge was always around, very friendly, and ready to help whenever needed. They even fixed the squeaking doors after the first night, which really showed their attention to detail. The cleaning lady also went above and beyond to assist us and made our stay even more pleasant. Overall, an excellent experience. We would absolutely recommend Bantu Home and would not hesitate to stay there again.

“We will be back!”

Bantu Home is one of those places that gets into your “will return” list. The property itself is gorgeous, secluded and quiet - the terrace is such a lovely place to sit, surrounded by leafy and colourful trees. It’s also only 5 mins walk to the beach, and the town. Perfect location. What makes this place so incredibly special is Alessandre and her team. She did so much to help us have a great stay, she is one of the best hosts I’ve had the pleasure to meet.

Best place i stayed in Zanzibar!

The house is very comfortable and clean, with unobtrusive people who are there to help. Very close to the beach and restaurants with very tasty food. Everything is accessible and yet the peace and quiet are not disturbed. In general, Paje is a place that does not leave you indifferent.

Over the period, there were intermittent electricity outages coupled with hours of no internet connectivity. However, our stay was lovely. We hope to return some day.

“Wonderful apartments close to the beach”

Wonderful newly built house with all amenities and anything you may need for a short or long stay. Location is perfect - one stone throw away from the beach but still in the village with all shops and kiosks and restaurants within walking distance. Hosts are a mixed couple and both have been living long time in the area and can help you with whatever you need. Recommended!
