I arrived very late, after midnight in fact, the place looked very appealing but dark, and I was tired.. Not knowing what to do, my fault, I was fortunate to bump into a couple of other guest also late arrivals attempting to use the self check in system, which was relatively easy... The dark start soon turned into a truly wonderful experience. The 'hotel Don Carlos' is 'owned' and run by an Italian couple who have a very good back story if you have the privilege of hearing it. They are in their forties but don't look it, must be the olive oil, because they work very hard, coping with a business, guests with a range of expectations and two relatively young children. Everyone smiles a lot, in spite of all the daily challenges presented ... The Hotel itself has an immense amount of 'romantic' kerb appeal, beautifully appointed rooms and a very inviting pool... I think, but I'm not certain that all have balconies, mine did (room 15) I didn't have a meal plan and it was breakfast only, but you could buy on the go, or as I chose to do, purchase random buys, beverages etc... Good shops weren't far away, breakfast was mainly prepared by Salvatore, Alessandra was getting the kids sorted out for school... As well as shops there are plenty of eating and drinking options close by in the 'centre' of 'Peguera' also quite lovely with lots to offer on its busy streets... The beach was also very close and very picturesque.... Public comfortable bus transport ran frequently and on time to Palma, the stunning Port Andraxt and many more places... My 'holiday' couldn't really have been much better and the weather was spot on, if a little warm for me at times... Peguera and especially the family run Hotel Don Carlos gets a massive thumbs up from me... Salute Alan...

“Fine for a short stay and good Price”

It’s cheap compared to its Mallorca. Staff is friendly and it was clean and good wifi. There is a Nice little gym and breakfast was also fine.

arrived later than expected. Hotel had great comms from start to finish were able to accommodate late arrival with self check in machine. Complex was lovely , rooms were clean and beds were comfy and great location.

The hotel is perfectly located to experience everything that Paguera has to offer. Hiking trails start nearby, you can get to the beach in less than 5 minutes, and the bus connection to the airport/Palma is super convenient. Alessandra is a super experienced host and runs the place with good taste and dedication. Not only that, she is very nice and funny person with great stories. We hope to return some day!

I had such a wonderful stay at Hotel Don Carlos in Peguera and can’t recommend it enough. Alessandra and her husband are truly exceptional hosts — warm, attentive, and genuinely caring. From the moment I arrived, they made me feel welcome and at home, always going the extra mile to ensure everything was perfect. The room was beautifully renovated, modern yet very cozy, and absolutely spotless. You can really tell how much attention is given to cleanliness and detail throughout the hotel. The location is another big plus: just a 2-minute walk to all the restaurants and the lively center of Peguera, yet still peaceful and quiet — perfect for relaxing after a day out. “Homely, friendly, peaceful and unique.”

A wonderful, unique stay in Mallorca. My favourite place with a very homely peaceful feel, lovely art and decorations. The staff are so friendly and welcoming. We chose this place to be a little bit away from the main street for peacefulness and it was perfect! We didn't have time for the breakfast as we had to leave for our flight, but it looked amazing and fresh and I would definitely be getting it when we come back again.

As a first time solo traveller I was a bit nervous, I was worried I wouldn't feel safe or lacked direction. The hosts were great to make me feel comfortable at the Hostal and gave me lots of tips for things to do :) thanks Alessandra and the receptionist (Simona?) both very kind and warm hosts
