Breakfast was excellent and Sunni who patiently and without complaint tidied up the mess I made when using the waffle machine for the first time was very kind and also informative about the local area. We enjoyed chatting with her over freshly cooked crispy bacon and aforementioned waffles, fruit juices and a choice of other items including pots of porridge and cereals. Breakfast which was included in our room rate exceeded our expectations, thank you. The log cabin was cosy, well equipped (proper fridge and freezer, microwave, coffee machine, plates, glasses, mugs, cutlery etc) and very comfortable, if somewhat dark, (but we have found all hotels throughout our Colorado road trip were dark, with no overhead lighting). We were warned wifi might not be good (and obtained key code before arrival due to this) but wifi was fine in our cabin. Parking our car adjacent to our cabin was very convenient. I misunderstood the location from the website (probably my fault) as there is no river or lake adjacent to the cabin where we stayed. Situated on the edge of town it is a short run into Pagosa Springs. Hot Springs are thoroughly recommended (they are very hot!), especially our experience of lying in one of the hot pools in a thunderstorm - not cheap, but very memorable. Log cabin was a contrast to our other hotel experiences and I would definitely stay there again. It was a much better location than staying in Pagosa Springs which was overwhelmed by road works throughout the town when we were there (Aug 25). It was really spacious and spotless. We didn't make use of the hot tubs as we were going to pagosa hot springs but they looked lovely. The little play area also kept the kids entertained. Using a code to get onto the room was really simple and great for our late checkin

Check in was easy - all done online with codes. The cabin was warm and cosy. The kitchenette was well equipped. The bedroom and wardrobes were spacious. There were enough towels and the toiletries smelled nice.

Room was clean, parking was ideal for someone towing a trailer. Beds were comfortable, location was quiet. Was surprised with no one on site for check in like a traditional hotel, but this was not an issue for us, it was unique.

I really liked the tucked-away cabins. They were very cozy and it was extremely relaxing to stay in them.

Great location, very clean and very nicely decorated rooms. Everything was great. Only issues —- Wi-Fi did not work; no staff on site so if you have issues then you don’t have anyone to go to.
