“Beautiful, homely but chic hotel with excellent service”

The Light House was most definitely one of my favourite hotel experiences ever. Everything was of 5* quality from the moment we arrived. The team that work here are so caring and professional, they thought about everything for us. The hotel room felt really luxurious down to all the small details, very well decorated. Two course breakfast on the terrace was exceptional for the two days we stayed there. We were attending a wedding nearby so I only regretted really not having enough time to properly relax and enjoy more of this special place.

From the initial warm welcome, with a bottle of MCC, to our reluctant departure, our stay here was delightful and memorable. The room was beautiful with a fabulous, well appointed bathroom, all very comfortable. The hosts and staff were outstanding, very friendly and helpful throughout. Breakfasts are amazing and beautifully presented, an absolute joy to sit out on the terrace with garden and mountain views. I give this property and staff an unhesitating and well deserved 10.

We stayed for 2 nights, service has been flawless. Nice big room, amazing breakfast on the terrace. We highly recommend the place if you want to disconnect from the world for few days ! First time I am giving a 10 on Booking.com, definitely well deserved !

Impeccably presented fare. Smelled and tasted as good as it looked. The offering was customizable, extensive and served with warm hospitality. Tableware and floral arrangements were routinely changed and always thoughtfully designed. We liked EVERYTHING!

We had high expectations after reading the reviews on Tripadvisor and I must say the place is very special and service exceptional. The bathroom is large and has outstanding water pressure. Bed and bath linen are fabulous and the breakfast amazing. The attention to detail is fantastic and grounds and interiors immaculately maintained. It's however the team that are making the difference as they go above and beyond in providing memorable experiences. Small details such as making advance dinner reservations make all the difference.

Beautiful house with stunning rooms. The service is impeccable and the food just faultless - breakfast was probably the best I’ve had anywhere - and Mika’s homemade fruit loaf, just divine! Darrol and Hendrik are perfect hosts. Mika even fixed a problem with our rental car. It is very difficult to leave the Light House, except with a promise to yourself that you will come back. Worth every penny. Thank you so much all.

Though we were spending most of the time in nearby Franschhoek, it didn't hurt that the property is situated in Paarl. The property is absolutely stunning, from the entrance to the suites. The Hamptons Suite is dreamy and absolutely gorgeous. The gardens outside the dining area are meticulously curated and well maintained. The hosts and staff were absolutely fantastic and helpful.
