Housed in a typical Dutch-style working farm dating back from 1698, this luxurious guest house, enclosed by vineyards and fruit trees, welcomes guests to experience genuine hospitality in a tranquil setting. A 5-minute drive from Paarl town centre, De Leeuwenhof Estate consists of an historic main building, a beautifully restored farm building and 12 hectares of land. Start the day with optional breakfast on the terrace and marvel at stunning views of the area. During the summer months De Leeuwenhof Estate Restaurant offers a set 3-course menu. Your hosts are happy to arrange a private tour of the farm, wine-tasting or traditional braai for you. Afterwards, you can enjoy a swim in the pool or relax in the comfort of your beautifully furnished guest room or apartment.

“Beautiful, comfortable and quite stay-over central to the Drakenstein area”
Quiet location. Beautiful garden and trees. Spacious rooms. Safe parking. We were the only guests, so the restaurant was closed but we could order a small snack for supper. We had coffee under the beautiful oak trees until 20h00. so peaceful. Very comfortable beds and bedding.

“Excellent place to stay near Paarl.”
The hosts were fantastic and staff friendly and efficient. The rooms have charming character. Staying overnight on a farm was really something special, will definitely stay again if in we visit Paarl area in the future.

Spacious, when staying in the apartments you have a fantastic Braai and secluded swimming pool. Open fire in the evening to enjoy a glass of wine. Very friendly and personal staff. The petting zoo animals.

“A little oasis outside Paarl - beautiful”
We loved everything: beautifully cosy ‘gezellige plek’ - lovely gardens, plants, stables, rooms, amenities all thoroughly thought through. Can’t ask for more. Great great food! Hats off to the Chef and his super friendly staff. Thanks Tessa and Stefan and staff

Stefan was very welcoming and helpful. The walk around the estate was enjoyable. The pool area is good, and the staff are friendly. Would be much enhanced if the complex could draw on its surroundings, not lock them out.

Everything was done to make our stay as enjoyable and comfortable as possible. The staff are amazing and super friendly. At the last minute Emmy realised there was wheat flour in the chips (not common) and so they made some chips old style for my coeliac wife. Everything was first class.
