“Lovely place but no air con and difficult to get to due to 1 hour drive on rocky dirt track”

We were upgraded to a suite which was lovely. The staff were very welcoming and helpful. The food was very good.

The property is far away from all the noise making it a perfect get away location if you looking for some peace and quiet. I love the style of the property and its close proximity to the beach and sand dunes. It is a very well maintained property. I love the pool and restaurant area. My favourite has to be the lighting of the walk way during the night on the way to our room absolutely beautiful

“Beautiful location above the Indian ocean”

Beautiful location , on top of a hill , very isolated, perfect for relaxing and listening to the ocean , 15 mns walk away from the sea . Hours of walking on the beach without meeting anyone. Pretty main lodge .Beautiful old trees, well kept lawns. Bushbuck and horses lingering on the property. Special attention given to decoration especially to the tables in the dining room. In the late afternoon it was nice to sit and work in the shade close to the swimming pool . Excellent breakfast, very good dinners .Very friendly and patient staff.

an exceptionally beautiful place. Very friendly service. We felt very comfortable. Best hotel on our round trip on the Garden Route. I had forgotten an important part of my photographic equipment there. The manager contacted me immediately and sent it to my next location.

“Bookings.com don't mention that the ocean is more than 1km away from the ocean.”

We initially was given a very very very poor room with no privacy and small. We requested to be moved and the second room was much better. The photos on Bookings.com is not recent photos and should be updated as so many other places, requires maintenance. On the website of Bookings.com it doesn't mention that the ocean is more than 1km away from the lodge and that we couldn't swim at this spot and had to travel by car more than 4km for a swim in the ocean.

Location is pristine, secluded and one of the lessor known jewels in the E Cape. Facilitates are good with a number of additional fun activities on offer, we enjoyed the sand boarding and fat bikes for the sandy trails. The Chef and his Team delivered some extraordinary fish and vegetarian dishes..excellent!

Comfortable and Relaxing … just wonderful easy to be found, use google maps to get there comfortable. The lodge has just a couple of rooms, some of them quite luxury. The rooms are big, very big. Very nice furniture. Very clean. High level standard. The lodge is located in a very spacy plot of more than 200 hectar. A private beach is part of it as well as a dune on the plot. This is nature pure! Food is phenominal, we had very seldom food in this quality in South Africa. Service perfect and friendly. Wifi existing. All in all very luxury place, very romantic atmosphere. A bit expensive, value for money is a bit out of balance. Would we come again? Well, we recognized that management/owner changes recently. We had the impression that maintenance is not a priority anymore. Before going there again we would check latest comments in google.

I felt like i have to beg for customer service from a guy called Grant, he really took me for granted and told me that he is not there to drive me around when I asked to be dropped off. i found rubbish in my dust bin on check in

This is one of the hidden paradises in South Africa. Was our third visit to this venue and we will return again next year. Bush, secluded private beach, excellent food, exceptional hospitality, nature lover's heaven with a touch of urban comfort. The horse rides through the bush and dunes are fantastic. Great running and mountain bike cycling tracks on the estate. Fantastic picnic and beach venue spots.
