Overview
Boasting a garden, barbecue facilities and views of inner courtyard, Kai-Oms Backpackers Lodge is set in Outjo, 500 metres from Outjo Museum. Ons het die afgelope naweek by Kai-Oms Guest House gebly en dit was werklik ’n wonderlike ervaring. Ons het baie van die braai-geriewe gehou en het heerlik gekuier. Die gasheer, oom Deon se ontvangs en diens was uitmuntend – vriendelik, behulpsaam en mens voel onmiddellik welkom. Die uitleg en atmosfeer van die gastehuis is pragtig en goed deurdag. Die olifant-tekening is besonders treffend en gee vir die plek ’n unieke karakter wat mens nie sommer vergeet nie. Baie dankie vir ’n heerlike en ontspanne naweek. Ons sal beslis weer kom kuier. Very quiet and tidy hostel. The outside with its bright colors looks very original. The owners were very friendly and gave me helpful tips.

“Price not according to the booking confirmation.”
The way I see it, the whole point of booking accommodation is that you know you have accommodation waiting for you for the price you agreed to when you booked. Here I had to pay 25% more. (250 instead of 200). I thought it was a scam, the owner tried to blame booking.com, she seemed very worried that her guests would break the rules , signs about it everywhere, 200 in key deposit, and she told me what happens if there are wrong number of pillows in any of the dorm beds and so on, which she checked the next morning before she gave back the 200. Now I am the one who is worried about rule violations, I will contact booking.com to ask how I should act the next time an accommodation asks for a higher amount than was stated in the confirmation, and I will ask if they provide compensation for this type of problem.
