“Familiar stay near Etosha”
We got the warmest welcome on the farm. We stayed in lovely houses with all comfort surrounded by a very-well kept garden. Dinner and breakfast was provided in a very familiar environment, where we enjoyed getting to know our hosts. The location is perfect to access Etosha via south-side Anderson gate. Hopefully we will be able to visit again some day.

“Relaxing home stay with family feel on working cattle farm”
I travel on a modest budget, so Buschberg is great value. It's a working cattle farm 40 minutes south of the Anderson entrance gate to Etosha, which means starting pretty early to get into the park at dawn (it also means you can't join a paid safari in the morning, only at 3pm). That's not a problem for me (no kids to wrangle), and I did see plenty of animals (not as many as Kruger) (note - in Etosha, cars do not leave the roads, so you need a good camera and binoculars). It has an explicitly family feel, in fact I met the owner's son and his wife and kids - this meant I had four adult Namibians to enjoy learning about the culture from, as I stayed for three nights and the third I was the only guest. It felt like home. You have to book dinner which is US$15 and pay everything in cash (including your accomodation) or bank transfer. I would definitely book the dinners, the lady of the house is a great cook and it's fantastic to try authentic home-cooked Namibian food including oryx etc made in their customary way. Wifi is fine within the homestead and kind of okay in the room (depends on line of sight). The pool is gloriously relaxing and a great place for afternoon tea or sunbathing (be careful of the intense sun). Furnishings and bathrooms are just fine, you can't expect it to be luxurious. I slept well and felt totally safe as there is a huge fence.

“Prefect!”
Anita and Hannes are very nice people. We loved the location in the middle of Nowhere. Abandoned from everything and everyone. Had very nice conversations. We were wonderfully taken care of. Delicious food. Great facilities. He only inconvenient thing is that you have to pay Cash. Should we ever be in the area again we would love to come back.

It was a very friendly and comfortable place. We had nice talks with the hosts and the food was fantastic. Returning from Etosha it was like a paradise to rest, to be in touch with family as the net was great.
