The owner was really nice and helpful and could help us with a lot of things in English. Otherwise it was a super cozy and small hostel in the center of Ouro Preto, so as everything was really close by.

We loved our stay at Varanda Pouso e Arte! It's a beautiful historic building, in an amazing location, run by lovely people. Tiago, Renata and the volunteers were so welcoming, and we really enjoyed a unique and characterful stay. Great value for money too!

“Ouro Preto is a beautiful town to explore, and this is the perfect base to do so.”
A fabulous find! A very Bohemian pousada. Thiago's distinctive, colourful work adorns the walls and he couldn't have been more helpful and generous. His English is a little better than my Portuguese so we could have a good chat. He had a long term guest who spoke excellent English also.

“Super cute hostel in the heart of the Old Town - worth the stay!”
Very cute, small and clean hostel with nice owner and staff that attended us perfectly in every moment. Wonderful location, our dormitory had a dream view onto the village. The breakfast was simple and good. We would return any time.

“I will return”
It was great mix of hostel and pousada - room to ourselves, but lounge and kitchen available to use. It was in a good location and not noisy at night.
