Location is extremely convenient, the staffs are very friendly. The kitchen and our room with mountain view is just great.

“A really good base to explore Ouro Preto”

The hostel la musica is perfectly located at the Praca Tiradentes. From there you can explore the whole village by feet and you have really good options for food and drinks nearby. The hostel has a good and comfortable atmosphere and the room was simple, clean and perfect for a short backpacking stay. The bathroom was tidy and Rodney, the host, was really helpful and has good advises for events and places to visit. I would definitely stay again!

The bed was not comfortable, the pillows had some kind of plastic rustling filling.

I loved everything about this hostel - it's cozy, extremely clean (!!), best location in Ouro Preto, so friendly and knowledgable owner and it's great to cook there with the amazing view over the town!! :) recommend it to everybody who wants to feel like home when travelling

“Cute hostel in good location”

Cute little hostel right on Tiradentes Square so you are in the centre of the small town! Loved the decor with music related things everywhere and retro games etc inside. There was also a pool table.

“Our home in OP”

Simply love everything! It was the perfect experience we already knew we'd have there! We had stayed there a few other times times before, and they've never disappointed us! 🥰

We (backpacker couple) had a private room which, despite being next to the kitchen and having a partial wall, was still comfortable thanks to the quiet hours policy we could rest well. We had some nice interactions with other travelers and really enjoyed the atmosphere. The owner is friendly and welcoming. Overall, a good choice for social and respectful travelers.

“The nicest hostel in Ouro Preto!!!”

This is the nicest and the friendliest hostel on Earth! I loved this place!!! I stayed in a female dorm - it was awesome because there are no bunk beds! Mattress was super comfortable, room was spacious enough and it had this vibe of a mountain house (just a heads up there is a lot of stairs - first to the hostel, then to the dorm - not a problem just a remark for people with reduced mobility or ginormous suitcases). It seemed like a mixed dorm had a beautiful view over main square and from the kitchen there was a view over the town, all the churches and the mountains. But the most important thing were the people! This hostel has such a nice vibe you seriously just want to stay there forever! It has all the Rodney (owner) personality and the volunteers were the nicest people on Earth! It was also super clean, couldn’t be better located and seriously- It’s just perfect! Loved, LOVED this place ❤️❤️❤️

Loved this place. The owner is super chilled and easy going, location is amazing for everything and close to the bus station. Views were beautiful. He was super helpful and nice in leaving our luggage and letting us stay and use facilities until our bus that night. Also can recommend places to go. Highly recommend.
