We stayed there one night during our trip across Minas. The Luxor is a very nicely maintained historic building in the old town right across Nossa Senhora da Conceição and walking distance (uphill) to Praça Tiradentes - so location is perfect. We had a deluxe room on the corner with great views on the church across the street and the town towards Santa Efigenia. The bed was comfortable with the right hardness, the shower worked well, good Breakfast. The hotel has private parking.

“Comfortable and pleasant.”
The colonial style. It is not luxurious but it did have its charm. It had an excellent bed, excellent linen. Bathroom was good. Pretty good breakfast. Remember this hotel is small and more like a boutique style. True to the local culture.

“Characterful hotel in centre of town. Good value”
Excellent location close to the centre. Could walk everywhere from here although the streets of Ouro Preto are extremely steep and roads are pebbly so not so easy to stroll around. But that's the charm of the place. Driving around the centre is quite a challenge with all the hills and winding roads. Hotel has lots of character and well kept. Excellent breakfast
