“This was the most at home and welcomed we’d felt on our trip”

It was an absolute gem tucked away in the beautiful town of Auray. We were welcomed by the host Deane, who’d made homemade cookies and showed us to our room. Having stayed in 8 different hotels in so many days the room was the best we’d stayed in with a hot tub in the room and a steam room/shower, balcony from where you could see the mountains.

“Lovely place to stay and great value”

This was perfect for a night's stay in Ouray - in fact, we wished we could stay longer. The room may have been a little smaller than some of the places we'd stayed on our trip, but it was very comfortable and homely and was in a lovely timber house in a beautiful setting with a lovely breakfast room and lounge area. The host was very welcoming and made a delicious breakfast which was included in the price (unlike most places we stayed), making Black Bear Manor also very good value for money, as well as being one of the nicest places we stayed in during a 3-week trip. Wholly recommend it.

The house and our room was SUPER comfortable, very well located and the owner is a gem. She made us pancakes for breakfast. The delight is, as always, in the details.

Very close to Main Street (3 mins walk) but in a nice quiet location. Room very comfy and clean.

The location was right in the middle of town and the breakfast was hearty. We enjoyed the afternoon beverages of wine and beer!

“In the Mountain Shadow”

Black Bear was very homey and welcoming. Tom is helpful and fun to talk with. Cyndi treats you to delicious breakfasts . There were special treats at Happy Hour and hot drinks always available. I loved being just walking distance to Main Street Ouray and a block from the river where a bench lets you sit and enjoy nature.

“Perfect stay!”

The bed and breakfast was fabulous. Very cute place. Slightly off the main road so away from the crowd but easily walkable to the main drag. Next morning the breakfast was exceptional. Hosts were extremely nice. Great place!!
