Overview
Situated beside Ainola Park and Oulu Cathedral, Lapland Hotel Oulu provides free WiFi and pool access and northern Finnish cuisine. All rooms have luxury bedding and large flat-screen TVs. Very friendly, excellent staff! Extraordinary breakfast - a choice of many Finnish specialities, absolutely recommendable, also the restaurant in the evening. Clean and comfortable rooms, we had a room to the street, but still very calm, good bed quality. Our room had a sauna, which could habe been a bit hotter, but still ok. On the whole, a very nice experience, the price is not low, but justified for this quality and comfort.

“Beauty hotel with worst service at the restaurant”
I absolutely cannot recommend this hotel. Twice we wanted to eat in the hotel restaurant, and were either offered a bad table, no table at all, or told to come late in the evening. Our room was only cleaned inadequately. And the parking situation is a disaster. I would not recommend anyone book this hotel.

The hotel is calm, and its atmosphere gives a Lapland-like feeling and a sense of peaceful culture. The staff are friendly and helpful. The cook-to-order omelette was excellent, with good choices.
