“Riad Idar suited us perfectly for our 2 night stay in the foothills of the Atlas Mountains.”

Riad Idar has lots of personal touches, having been created by the owner, Abdel. He's a lovely host, and gave us very good breakfasts and dinners. He was also a great guide on our trek up to remote hilltop villages. The views from the riad's roof terrace are spectacular.

Fantastic location and attentive staff. Combined with excellent local food (olives fresh from the garden), what’s not to like?

Abdel is an incredible host who treated us like family from the moment we arrived. Our room featured a stunning mountain view, and the back garden was the perfect, peaceful spot to soak up the sun. A highlight was the guided hike Abdel took us on through the Ouirgane valley and traditional Berber villages an unforgettable experience. To top it off, the food was exceptional; we enjoyed the best traditional Tagine and Moroccan tea we’ve ever had. Plus, the on-site parking is very secure. We can't recommend this place enough! We will be definitely back here again.

excellent base for exploration in the foothills of Mt. Toubkal. Some local infrastructure still available in the vicinity out of season (December). Stunning and unspoilt nature.

The hosts made us feel very welcome. The open fire kept us warm and we were well fed, and our bikes were stored safely overnight.

Abdel is a very thoughtful and diligent host. They serve fresh, tasty traditional Berber food. Abdel also directed us to interesting trails with lovely views and friendly Berber villages.

The Riad is very comfortable and the owner does so much to help if he can. We were looked after wonderfully. The rooms were cool even in 35 degree heat and the Riad is slightly off the main road so it's very peaceful.
