It was like an authentic 1920's FEATHER PALACE stay, but with all the mod-cons. Homely, neat, peaceful, tasteful - a wonderful place to stay. To top it all, breakfast is a happening, a feast unmatched during our travels. Prepared by wonderful staff, led by the owners/hosts, Stan and Bernadette who remained in attendance during the meals, adding great social flavour and entertainment. Truly a stay to remember!

The experience of a historical building on a farm setup and its history during the Ostrich Feather Fashion period. It is beautifully brought up to date without sacrificing the authentic features. Very friendly owners with hands on their guest accommodation. Personal touch was very special. The breakfasts were superb!

This was a highlight on our Karoo cycle! 8 cyclists stayed the night hosted by Stan and Bernadette in their generational home! We absolutely loved everything about it!

A truly special place to soak up the history of Oudtshoorn. The building is unique and has been restored with a lot of care of the original features. The hosts are making you feel extremely welcome from the moment you arrive. The location is perfect to explore the local attractions. An evening walk around the ostriches, when the mountains catch the last rays of sunlight is really magical.

Lovely hosts - it was our second time staying at the Feather Palace and it was like meeting up with friends again.. Suiwr rooms and superb breakfast - we loved it again, no changes required..

Beautiful rural palace in the heart of desert. Nice and detailed interior of the house makes my stay unforgettable. Small pool outside of the house was warm for playing with splash.
