Welgeluk cottage is perfectly located within 5 mins outside Oudtshoorn. Secure, affordable and easily accessible. We received the warmest welcome from our hosts. The cottage was spotless, and so beautifully decorated. Extremely spacious rooms, well equipped kitchen, fireplace provided both warmth and comfort. Scenery is spectacular. We loved our daily walks, meeting all the animals and taking in the splendour of the Karoo landscape. I highly recommend staying at Welgeluk cottages. We are seasonal travellers, and there is no accommodation we have been that comes close to the amazing experience we had staying here. We will be returning in the summer. What stood out to me, easy to find, plenty of space, animals in camps all around, a pool at the main house, aircon in all rooms, firewood (but we already bought own), filtered water (but already bought own) and toiletries in all 4 bathrooms, windows had fly-screens and carport.

A spacious and clean cottage on a working farm which was ideal for my grandson who could cycle around looking at the animals. Swimming pool was a bonus as the weather was hot. Our host was amazing and nothing too much trouble. Thank you.

We loved the location - beautiful surroundings on a historic farm, yet close enough to where we wanted to go. This well equipped cottage was so spacious with enough bed- and bathrooms, a large kitchen, indoor braai and many different seating areas. Our hosts were so kind and attentive, we felt right at home. Truly a a wonderful experience, we would love to come again.

Stay at Welgeluk Cottage for a few nights and it was everything. The place was super cozy and clean. The attention to detail was on point and made it feel like home. We loved watching the Springboks right at our doorstep. Communication with the host was smooth and quick as he was able to resolve an issue effectively. Honestly, I felt safe and relaxed the whole time. Perfect spot for winding down, getting some peace, and having a bit of a getaway. If I ever find myself in the area again, I wouldn’t even think twice and I’d rebook in a heartbeat.
