Overview
Situated in the heart of the Cango Valley near Oudtshoorn, this guest house features elegantly decorated rooms with a private patio overlooking the Schoemanshoek Valley and the Swartberg Mountain Range. With complimentary tea/coffee facilities and sherry, all light rooms at Die Fonteine come with rustic furniture and a sitting area. Each of the private bathrooms has an old-world bathtub or a walk-in shower. A freshly prepared breakfast is served daily on the covered veranda, which overlooks the surrounding gardens. For dinner, guests can find 2 restaurants within 5 km from Die Fonteine Country Guest House. The owner can help organise trips to the Karusa Winery (200 metres away), where guests can enjoy wine tasting with a cheese platter. It is also possible to order a picnic basket for a trip to the Rust and Vrede Waterfall (15 km). The famous Swartberg Pass is only 15 km from the guest house. The Cango Caves and Cango Wildlife Ranch are less than a 10-minute drive away.

We arrived so late after the SA Biathlon openings and got the warmest welcome. My heart is broken that we did not get to see it in daytime ... but that forces the fact that we HAVE TO go to Oudtshoorn AGAIN!!! It was absolutely quiet and soooo beautiful inside the room! Loved EVERYTHING about it!!!!

Glamping was a new experience and we loved it! The tent was comfortable, cool and had it's own en suite. Everything we needed. Anne-Sue , the owner provided breakfast if required. Her garden is a delight and the pool perfect to cool off in.

This is a quaint beautiful property with the most gorgeous gardens. Would definitely recommend having breakfast & dinner when staying . Anzue thinks of everything to make your stay perfect. From the delicious sherry in your room, little flowers & attention to detail it’s just perfect.

The warm welcome and the beauty of the farm and the valley in which the farm is situated. Close to the road going to the Cango caves. The Family room and bathroom is spacious and the airconditioning was a blessing in December. We only stayed one night as we were on our way to our final holiday destination in Gansbaai, but we wanted to visit the cango caves so this was a convenient overnight option.
