I genuinely had an amazing stay at Dar Widad. The reception manager (his name is Mehdi) was incredibly kind, welcoming and helpful from the very first moment. I was welcomed with tea, a big smile, great local tips & tricks for getting around, and an excellent breakfast every morning. The whole place is very clean, cosy and peaceful. The beds were also excellent for sleeping 🛌 especially if you like a firmer mattress (it honestly reminded me of the comfortable “Thailand-style” firmness, which I personally loved). Another big plus is the free parking nearby, which made everything much easier. Overall, the experience was truly top of the top and I would happily stay here again. If you need anything just ask Mehdi, he has your back covered 🤘🏻

“Unforgettable”
The area is very quiet and the space is super comfortable. Waldir is a wonderful person and always attentive. I would have liked to stay longer, but my schedule was tight.

Dar Widad is a very confortable acommodation. Walid was very welcoming and kind, always supporting and asking if I needed anything. He even offered to bring me to the center. The bathroom is good, the bed pretty comfortable and the breakfast very complete. To sum up, it's worth it.

Very good location if you are travelling from Marrakech to Merzouga in the Sahara. Close to shops and kebab places. Parking available next to the hostel. The host is very kind and speaks English very well. It was cold in the room, but we were travelling in December.

This is like an air BnB in that there's a kitchen and living room you can use. The room was very large and the facilities were exceptionally clean. The staff was incredibly friendly

“We had a great stay at Dar Widad thanks to the amazing hospitality of Mohamed!”
Mohamed made us plenty of Moroccan Tea, helped organise taxis for us (to Flint Oaisis for sunset and Ait Ben Haddou for Sunrise), as well as giving us recommendations for where to eat locally. Breakfast was lovely, a selection of fresh breads, spreads, olives and vegetables with tea and coffee. He even left us some breakfast to take with us the day we visited Ait Ben Haddou for sunrise. The rooms and bathrooms are basic but clean and comfy, and we were also able to check out late as our room was not needed for guests the following night! He was very quick to reply to WhatsApp queries and helped us with anything we needed! Would recommend staying at Dar Widad!

Very friendly and kind host. From the outside you don't think of a beautiful place to stay, but when you come inside, it is beautiful and welcoming. You will feel very comfortable, and also get a very good breakfast.
