Very clean, lofty place right in the centre of the small town of Kollum. Abundant free parking in the vicinity. Reasonably well equipped, modern kitchen. Immaculate separate toilet and bathroom. Floor heating which was already working when we arrived.

“A second stay”
It was our second stay at Het Roodborstje and, as the first time round, everything was perfect for a family trip: the house is large and very comfortable. We stayed for three nights, making an extented transit stop in Otterlo, but still managed to see the highlights of Hoge Veluwe (the park + the KM museum). We hope to come back another time for longer, to explore the area in more depth, and to try the amenities at the nearby holiday park.

“A lovely short break at the edge of the Hoge Veluwe National Park”
The house offered exactly what we needed for a two-night stay: we wanted a transit stop, but it became much more than that, enabling us to enjoy the Hoge Veluwe National Park for a full day. Despite being close to the road, the house is located in a quiet area, and we really enjoyed our evening stargazing at the terrace. The village (Otterlo) is very pleasant and has excellent tourist infrastructure, including a well-stocked local Spar (closed on Sundays, but the one in Hoenderloo is open) and a lovely local ice parlour next to the mini-farm. The Park itself did not disappoint, either: we came for the third time and there were still places to explore and see some wildlife (deer), not to mention the convenience of using the free white bikes to move around. We'd definitely like to come back.

“Beautiful holiday home in beautiful woodland setting”
Beautiful setting in the woods. Super clean! Lovely private garden to enjoy. Free parking just in front. Restaurants and shops nearby. Hoge Veluwe National Park and Kröller-Müller Art Gallery so nearby. Dogs admitted at small extra cost. Super lockable bike store.
