Absolutely beautiful house, with an amazing host and breakfast, as well as being really well positioned for everything we wanted to see and do. Bedroom was really comfortable. Richard was incredibly helpful and went out of his way to enable us to make the most of our short stay in Ottawa. Sandy is also an absolute delight, and his waggy tail was the icing on the cake of a great place to stay.

The house was a beautifully restored late Victorian villa. Our room was spacious and very clean and well appointed. The breakfasts were delicious with a wide choice of things to eat, especially the blueberry muffins which were the best I have ever tasted. Our host was very welcoming and helpful, especially in giving us a route in which to take in all the sights in Ottawa as we only had a day in which to visit the city. The location was excellent, a short walk down to the Byward Market and the main shops. And, as a bonus, there was Sandy the dog to make a fuss of!

Breakfasts were excellent: fruit, cereal, fresh croissants and muffins, scrambles eggs, cheese and yoghurt. Well located within walking distance to everything downtown, parliament buildings university etc. The house is a 200 year old charmer loaded with character. I loved the 'whispering' hardwood floors. Very comfortable beds. Host has a wealth of information about his city.

Excellent personal and friendly service. Most welcoming. Very interesting and attractive property. Parking in central position.

“Convenient transportation, comfortable rooms and friendly hosts”

A century-old garden villa, located near the University of Ottawa, next to the famous Byward Market, extremely convenient transportation. The owner, a chatty old man who has traveled the world in retirement, is hospitable, recommending Ottawa attractions and food, and sending guests a map. Dogs are so cute, so docile. We rented on the second floor, the space was independent, the room was clean and tidy. Breakfast was croissants and muffins, which were delicious. All in all, it was a great experience, thank you!

Breakfast was great - freshly cooked each morning! Location is very close to uOttawa, and 10-15 minute walk into town (ByWard Market, Parliament hill, downtown) Big comfortable room

We enjoyed our stay it was the best highlight in Ottawa. the B&B is super beautiful with attention to detail, clean, and comfortable. Richard has done an amazing job with the house that combines with his host skills. We had a really good time!! no to mention Sandie, the dog is a lovely dog super friendly with the guest. (A walking distance of Venezuelan embassy, parlament, restaurants, and the art gallery)

The room was spacious with an extra cot for sleeping, a little fridge with a small ice cube tray for drinks. Cute balcony with table, two chairs and umbrella. Breakfast was lovely, fresh fruit, selection of baked goods, cereal, cheeses and eggs if you wanted some. Juice, tea or coffee also offered. Beautiful home.

Our host was exceptional! The property is wonderful and in walking distance to the Market and Parliament complex.

Richard was a lovely host and his pride of ownership is very evident. The location while convenient is not a good area of Ottawa. Lots of homelessness. Richard was great at telling us how to be safe and protect our things. We had no issues at all. I would absolutely stay here again. One of the most comfortable beds I have ever slept in!!! Breakfast was very plentiful and lots of variety.
