Overview
Yumotokan Hotel offers comfortable Japanese-style rooms with views of Lake Biwa. It features indoor and open-air hot-spring baths and free shuttle service from JR Ogoto Onsen Station. I loved the whole structure and all the small details of the decorations...the room was comfortable with great amenities and a great dinner was served. But the real highlights were the public bath, I've tried them all and I loved them

“Great to just slow down and relax”
We stayed here for one night to decompress and rest mid our trip. The staff was super polite and going above and beyond. The highlight was definitely the food (both dinner and breakfast were delicious) and the private onsen in the room overlooking the lake. Our room was extra spacious. The yukatas provided were fun and a nice touch. We also used the shuttle service to the train station which was extremely convenient.

Room is spacious. Breakfast is widely with different styles. Staff are professional & intensive. 3 different types of onsen you can choose and that is real onsen. Free shuttle bus though I drive by myself. Dinner is good too

Great service, several.different types of onsen, and those facing the sea had a great view including the indoor one. Kaiseki dinner was creative and satisfying, and the buffet breakfast had a fantastic spread including sake tasting! .. hotel was also generous and thoughtful with towels and lotions ( provided in room and also at the onsen) unlike som3 ryokans / hotels where you have to bring these to the onsen or squeeze with others to use the lotion in the onsen. Room also had coffee machine and different tea, ro go with sweets and savoury crackers.
