Beautiful building and lovely room with private bathroom. Relaxing and serene, garden views from the bedroom, with friendly staff, both staff members I met had excellent English and were so helpful.

What a special place. Highly recommend the morning breakfast, it's a special moment to relax and enjoy the traditional rooms and garden.

Full of character, beautiful details, excellent value and warm hospitality. View of the courtyard garden at breakfast or from the family room balcony. Family room has own toilet and wash basin. Baths and showers are downstairs in shared area but I never had to wait to use it and it was always spotless. My favourite stay from 2 months of travel around Japan!

Lovely accommodation with a lovely host. About a 15min walk from the train station, but only two stops away from Kyoto station and yet you feel like you're a world away. Next time we are in the area we will definitely be staying here.

Our experience at Inase was way beyond expectations. We’ve booked last minute, and it was finally the highlight of our trip. The atmosphere of the house is absolutely unique and the price is amazing for what you get. Do not let the common bathroom block you from booking because it would be such a shame, and plus, the two bathroom were the cleanest I’ve ever seen.

The property offers a crafted mix of traditional hospitality and modern amenities. I stayed in the new dwelling at the back, which is a spacious self-contained unit. Breakfast is in the renovated old homestead, in a traditional tatami room. The staff are exceptionally courteous.

A hidden gem with very warm hospitality. Glad we stayed at Inase during our stay in Kyoto! Felt as though we travelled back in time to experience Kyoto/Otsu in its most authentic form. Special thanks to Saori and her colleagues who were so helpful throughout our stay. Highly recommended for anyone who wish to experience a stay unlike others.

Very friendly and helpful staff. Japanese breakfast 😋 Tatami room in a very old traditional japanese house (cultural heritage). Very clean. Close to the Miidera Station, 30 min to Kyoto Station. Walking distance to Biwako.
