Overview
Surrounded by greenery, the lovely Holiday Afternoon offers rooms with free Wi-Fi, a 10-minute drive from Biwako Valley Ski Resort and a 10-minute walk from Omimaiko’s beach. A free shuttle runs to/from JR Omimaiko Station, which connects to Kyoto Station in 25 minutes. The cosy villa features a spacious hot spring bath, which can be privately used by each group of guests for an hour. The Holiday Afternoon also boasts a terrace, a large playground and special facilities for pets, such as a pool, a bath, and a garden. Ski storage is available during the winter season. Air-conditioned rooms come with free Wi-Fi, a flat-screen TV and carpeted floor on which Japanese futon bedding is spread to sleep in. Bathroom and toilet facilities are shared, while a hairdryer and slippers are available. Holiday Afternoon is only a 5-minute walk from the famous Biwako Lake. JR Omimaiko Train Station is an 8-minute drive. A Western-style breakfast and lunch are served at the Holiday Afternoon Cafe. A dinner featuring the famous Omi beef is also available upon request. A hearty barbeque can be enjoyed in summer.

Very Spacious Units: The accommodations are incredibly roomy, offering plenty of space to relax. Private Parking & Garden: Having dedicated parking and a small, private garden attached to the unit is a fantastic convenience. Private Onsen: The inclusion of a private onsen is a standout feature, perfect for relaxation. Fresh & Tasty Pastry: While breakfast is basic, the fresh and delicious pastry provided is a definite highlight. Beautiful Surroundings: The area around the property is quite picturesque and pleasant.

“Wonderful guesthouse with onsen!!”
The son and mother running the guesthouse were wonderful. It's a beautiful location, and because it is fairly far from the station, the son picked us up in his van at the station. We did have to call him to get us (which we knew ahead of time), so it's important to have the capability to do so or otherwise arrange it with the guesthouse host. We thoroughly enjoyed the onsen at the hotel with included yukatas and our very spacious room (had a heater/AC as well!). The sheets and yukatas and towels were impeccably clean and pressed. The son and mother had a lovely cafe with free beverages downstairs, and they also had a wonderful breakfast we paid for in the morning. I feel this guesthouse is truly a hidden gem and highly recommend it to anyone considering it. Easily one of the best places I have stayed at in Japan. My husband and I were so charmed during the whole experience.
