“Brilliant hotel”
What an amazing hotel right on the edge of Lake Biwa with stunning views over the lake from our room. The room was large and very clean. The bathroom was gorgeous and we also had a comfortable seating area. All staff were welcoming, polite and helpful. There is also a station shuttle bus that we used and the driver was friendly. Just outside Kyoto with great train links and only 40 mins from Osaka. Highly recommend this hotel and will definitely stay again.

Everything was fantastic. Good location, wonderful staff, stunning rooms and beautiful views. The lounge offers delicious food. You wouldn’t even want to leave the hotel once you’ve settled in.

Superb location with the rooms and social areas overlooking the lake. We enjoyed staying there after three hectic weeks in very busy cities as Tokyo and Kyoto. We could chill in the confortable hotel facilities, had good buffet breakfasts and nice evening meals in a relaxed atmosphere but also amused ourselves with some cycling around the lake and a little boat cruise. The hotel sems to be mainly a holiday or weekend destination for Japanese families which felt really good as we appreciate an immersive experience in the local culture although we can only speak a few words in Japanese. The hotel staff made us feel very welcomed and communication was never an issue.

“A view ro remember”
We loved the teppanyaki at Ohmi. We were lucky to have the table for the two of us and the food and servuce was next level awesome. Our room had fantastic waterfront views.

“Location and staff were great, service sometimes questionable.”
The view was great, as expected and advertised. The staff was also very helpful from the beginning to even after checkout. The onsen is nice and very modern, with DHC amenities which is a nice bonus.

“Great hotel - beautiful view! Consider this hotel for Kyoto sightseeing!!”
For sightseeing in Kyoto, this hotel was a great idea. - Less than 15 mins by train from Kyoto station - (which is the transport hub for getting around all of the amazing sights in the city). The hotel has a regular shuttle service which takes you from the hotel to the local station - Brilliant! Our room had a beautiful view of the lake and snow caped mountains in the distance. And here's a thing which I've never quite worked out why more hotels don't do this - the beds faced the window so we woke facing a beautiful view! The staff were lovely - as you would expect in Japan - and the bar/restaurant was very good with our seats surrounded by greenery even though we were inside.

“Great choice with superb views”
Location is great. Easy to get to / from Otsu station via complimentary Hotel bus. Local metro line also very close for sightseeing. Lots of breakfast options both English and Japanese. Club Lounge offered excellent drink selection and food. Staff were nice and friendly. Room views of Lake Biwa were amazing day and night.
