Check-in was quick and seamless, breakfast room service delivered straight to the room, and great tips on what to do in Otavalo. Walking distance from the bus station. A simple a fuss free stay I can definitely recommend!

“Without doubt good value for money in a quiet but not remote location”

I asked to change rooms. I find all too often that , as a lone traveller, I am allocated the smallest of rooms, even if that small room has an additional bed which takes up 40% of the space and even if there are plenty larger rooms available which, in all likelihood, will remain available. The second room was a vast improvement. I asked for a chair so that I didn’t have to relax on the bed the whole time. Lovely bathroom. Really quiet hotel. Inevitably there was the occasional motor bike roaring up the road but such vehicles are part and parcel of life everywhere. You are five or six minutes on foot from the town centre. The host is very communicative and extends a warm welcome on arrival.

Very central in Otavalo. Great value for the money. Staff was helpful and I really enjoyed the breakfast in my room every morning served with a lovely milky coffee.

“Great but noisy location”

Friendly staff, very helpful. Room was okay, beds bit hard (but the most are in Ecuador). There's paid parking next to the hotel, for only $6,- per night. Location is great (but noisy) at an excellent price.

“Amazing value in the heart of Otavalo”

A comfortable bed, hot water, and exceptionally helpful staff and owner in the busiest part of Otavalo. Their recommendations for where to go in the area and what to eat around town were all spot on, and they provide a hotel taxi service for nearby activities that match what you would pay if you arranged it with a yellow taxi. Otavalo is a lovely small city and staying at La Rosa helped to make it one of my favourite stops. Incredible value and if I make it back I'd book here again without hesitation.

Lovely guesthouse in Otavalo! Comfy and clean room. The included breakfast is tasty and delivered to you each morning. Staff are very friendly and happy to help with taxis (they sorted me out to visit the Laguna de Cuicocha). Highly recommended :)

“Excellent value, kind service, perfect location”

Excellent value for money: a clean, quiet, and very comfortable stay with exceptionally kind service. The location is excellent, close to the bus station, the famous market, many restaurants, and with a supermarket just across the street. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The manager even drove us to Laguna Cuicocha and back for $25 in a comfortable car, with interesting conversations along the way. He also gave us a free ride to the Panamericana bus stop for Tulcán, which was such a nice gesture. Our room was very spacious, clean, and quiet, with a hot shower that worked well.

“Basic but decent room in the center of Otavalo”

Very nice host who also picked us up at the airport and gave a first introduction along the way. The hostel is located close to the Otavalo market. A nice breakfast was included. All 4 of us could have a hot shower. There is also a supermarket across the street.

The accommodation is in a great location, close to the Poncho Market. The bed was comfortable.
