Overview
Within a 10-minute walk from Asari Ski Resort, Winkel Village features cosy apartments and cottages, all with a terrace and mountain views. It features a ski school and a shop. Apartments and freestanding wooden cottages feature heating, a fully equipped kitchen and a bathroom with a bathtub. All are equipped with a TV, while apartments boast a private open-air hot spring bath, however not for cottages. Guests sleep on Japanese futon bedding on the bedroom floor. There are 2 types of rooms.Village Winkel offers rentals of sporting goods, board games and barbecue equipment that can be used on the guests' private terrace. Guests can go hiking or fishing in the area, and there is a tennis court on a 5-minute drive. Hotel Winkel Village is a 15-minute drive from Otaru Ferry Terminal and Otaru Unga Canal, and a 40-minute drive from Kiroro Snow World.

“Beautiful and peaceful place❤️”
Very beautiful cottage style of staying. We love it. Just don’t understand why they didn’t provide towels. That’s we need to pay extra for it.

Everything, it was the most picturesque location, the cabins & village were nothing like what i expected. Our family of 8 had plenty of space with the mezzanine floors upstairs. Kitchen was perfect for cooking meals & enjoying time together. The facilities around the Village were exceptional.

“Great hidden gem!”
Clean and spacious with everything we needed. Great kitchen setup with all the dinnerware, cutlery, cooking utensils etc. Great bathroom and shower. Warm and comfortable duvets and bed linens. Staff were lovely! Great location with just 20 minutes by car to Sapporo Kokusai Ski resort and about 40 minutes to Kiroro and Teine. Supermarkets, convenience stores, onsens all very close by!

“Nice little room for family. Private onsen very comfortable. Check in time is very tight though.”
Nice little house. Very cosy and very comfortable. There is a full function kitchen, a spacious bathroom with bathtub. Purposely booked a room with private onsen. Very nice facility within your own room. A bit further away from the main town but has a huge discount supermarket nearby (Trial) which we can buy food and drinks from.

“Great getaway but overpriced!”
This was our second visit to Winkel village - the first being 9 years ago. There was almost no change to the property, based off our poor foggy memory of it. The location is off-beat, which we liked. Thus it was quiet and serene. It was generally what we had expected and overall was still a fun trip.
