“False price advertising. Be aware.”
Be aware! False advertisement of price. The same price was displayed for 2 and for 4 people for our room on booking.com. So, I left the booking at 2 as we were unsure of our plans. When we arrived with 4 people, we were held ransom not being allowed into our room until we paid over 25,000 yen extra directly to Uchi Living (via Paypal which didn't work for me). Uchi living says it's booking.coms fault and booking.com says it's up to Uchi to charge what they want. So, we are still in dispute! Another family with young children had a similar situation but they had young kids, had just arrived from Cambodia and spent 2 hours kept from their room before we made the loaned payment for them. Be aware!

“Cozy, warm & scenic winter stay,”
Considering we came from a temperate country and were visiting in winter, the superb heating and hot bath were everything. The unit was warm, cozy, and incredibly comfortable. Bonus points for the stunning view overlooking Otaru town, waking up to that view was such a treat. A perfect winter stay. Tip: The view comes with a trade-off: the property is sort of located on a hill, so it’s not very suitable if you’re coming on foot, especially in winter. Best to take a taxi or drive.

“Comfortable stay on the hill”
Spacious enough for our family of 4. Clean, easy to check in. There’s a washing machine that can be used. It was clean and the location was near many attractions (it’s on a hill so we do get a good walk after dinner :))

Check-in was a breeze! The process was quick and efficient, and even handling the payment for an extra guest was simple and hassle-free. Everything was clearly communicated, which made the start of our stay stress-free. The staff were friendly and helpful, setting a great tone for the rest of our trip.

Spacious. Things/ammenities included to make our stay comfortable. Self check in but all were clearly conveyed to us. Pillows were insufficient but still ok. Drying rack provided. Very near to the shopping street. The staff responding to my queries via the chat was responsive. Allowed us to return to accommodation to retrieve something we left behind.
