This place is a vibe. It's a wooden building that has a very rustic character. The common area is very nice with books and very comfortable seating. Kinda feels like a homestay instead of a dorm.

“Excellent and great value for money”

“Cosy and comfortable!”
Extremely good value for money with the most comfortable bed and soft sheets. We stayed in the Queen Double Room. Shared common space was cosy and clean with cards and board games available. A lovely kitchen was also available with tea and coffee!

The staff are really nice. The common area is cool, though I didn't meet a lot of people here. The location is decent if you don't mind walking a little bit. The beds are comfortable.

“A great find if you’re only stopping in Otaru for a short period of time”
A cool, traditional hostel style stay. Very affordable and very clean with every consideration thought of. Staff are very helpful and friendly. Definitely recommend!

“Good value for money, location and comfort level for a stay at Otaru.”
So many good things to say. When arriving at the building at looking at the facade. You think you should not have booked there. But once you have seen the recently extensive renovation inside, the large common areas and bedrooms, all the cooking essentials provided, and the comfort of the bedroom you regret you have not booked longer. Also terrific location, with convenience store nearby, walkable to Otaru main attractions, and parking available on request. Staff was useful, efficient and friendly.

“Great stay at Otaru”
We were in Hokkaido for 10 days and stayed in 5 different cities. This is by far the most comfortable and best value. We stayed in 4 persons private room with private toilet and really enjoyed our stay. Room is spacious and looks even nicer than in photos. Made use of the kitchen to prepare our breakfast and had it at the comfy lounge area. It's only a short walk to main shops area. Next time, will definitely stay longer there.

“Great/affordable accommodation”
The staff were very friendly. There's a Lawson's just opposite on the corner which was very convenient. Very tidy and a nice little old building. Great value for money.
