Having an onsen downstears is just great.

A very homely, cosy place. The living area was a lovely area to sit, relax and recover during the harsh winter. I stayed in a 4-bed mixed room and the bed compartmnets were great value, and there was designated hangers to put up my coat and damp trousers when going to sleep. The showers were clean and well-maintained, and the owners were really friendly. This was very, very good value on the whole and I was very happy to stay there.

The staff was super helpfull to accommodate our needs.

The owner was very nice and kind. I loved the sento (hot spring) downstairs! If you pay 300円, you can use it with free shampoo and towel. If I visit Otaru again, I will definitely stay here again!:)

Need pay 300 yen got onsen

A good one night stay before heading out to Niseko. Stairs are steep so if you have heavy luggage, please be aware of this. I’d say this place is what they would call “Showa” style. Everything has an 80s vibe going on but it’s a comfortable place for one night. The place is run by a sweet old lady. We used the traditional bathhouse downstairs with the provided coupon. Water is super hot! But really relaxed my aching body from days of walking.

I loved our stay here albeit farther from Otaru station than what I had expected. The two lovely ladies were so friendly and accommodating. They even helped us book a taxi when we left the place. The room we stayed in has enough space for 3 people with 3 luggage.

Massage chair Every facility have a piece Lunary , dryer, hot spring , towel... The old grandma say cash only less than 5000 yen when I check in . I ask what If I stay two night? She denied. And the second day I ask if I can leave the luggage here . She said : heeeey?would you say one more night here? Otherwise .No!

The location was very good, you could get everywhere pretty much in couple of minutes, there is also beautiful catholic church nearby for those they are catholics. Spa is just 300yen each and the receptionist was the most nice, kind, friendly, smiling and cute we ever experienced. There is also a two guitar in the share living room, can make it nice evening too.

“Basic and clean guesthouse in downtown Otaru”

Clean albeit basic facilities at this budget guesthouse; does what it says on the label. The reception lady uses Google Translate to help check in guests who can't speak Japanese. Note no cooking facilities, just microwave and hot water.

Worthy the price. Such a pity that the shower room did not really meet my expectations. Bedroom was comfortable though.

The hostel is on the 2nd floor of the building, the first floor is taken by a Sento (Japanese bath house). As a guest you can use the Sento at a discounted price.

Friendly, kind staff! 20-30mins walk away from city central. You can use the public bath(sentō) attached to the hostel once by 11pm.
