Overview
A 5-minute walk away from the Tsugaike Kogen Ski Resort, Lodge Shosen offers guests easy access to the great nature of Tsugaike Kogen. JR Hakubaoike Train Station is within a 12-minute taxi ride from the property. Rooms at Shosen Lodge features Tatami (woven-straw) flooring and traditional futon bedding. Rooms come with a seating area and a TV. Bathrooms and toilets are shared with other guests. The dining area serves a Japanese-style set dinner and breakfast, featuring seasonal produces. The property has an indoor shared bathroom (open from 16:30 to 21:30), a drying room for skis and snowboards and several drinks vending machines. Lodge Shosen is located a 7-minute walking distance from the Tsugaikekogen Gondola Station, where guests can take the gondola and ropeway to access the Tsugaike Natural Park located at the top. Happo-one is a 15-minute drive away, while Hakuba Iwatake is a 5-minute drive from the property.

Amazing hospitality, the lady at the reception helped me after i missed my last train, she made sure i made the bus booking and tried to call the taxi. Note that uber might take an hour to even get accepted here incase you're planning your journey (thats how we missed our train) Room is nice and warm, comfy mattress. But nothing luxurious it is like a hostel style but otherwise for the service i will give 5++++/5 stars, the staffs are helpful

The heater gives off an exhaust smell and shuts off automatically every three hours, making it cold enough to wake me up at midnight.

Location is slightly away from the main city but is just a short walk away. There is still food nearby. The place is clean and a not bad view (some part of the mountain ) from the window .
