I like the atmosphere around the hotel. It was so close to skiing fields and in the middle of mountain. I got relaxed with staying calm environment. Staffs are so kind that they taught me some useful information to let me decide great plans for next day. They have a lot of hospitalities and ability as a local guide, which make me feel quite comfortable.

No. To be avoided. I really do not understand the comments that I read before making the reservation. That can not be true. Way to expensive for what it is! Asked for a 2 bed room, gave us a room with 3, when the rooms are already not big, I wonder why. The hotel seemed entirely empty besides us (as not other shoes at the entry). Bathroom curtain with mold. Blankets with stains. The corridors were packed with cleaning stuff, baskets, furniture, laundry. I can't even describe the state of the carpet in the entire place, brrrr. (We arrived for 1 night and it was the end of the season, so everything was close near by which did not help for the experience.) Nothing to say about the lady who welcomed us, as she was lovely. For some reason I needed to talk on the phone to the owner twice before we were able to go in the room, still do not know why.

It’s amazing proximity to the best ski field in Hakuba, literally a walk down the road to a convenience store, great ramen down the road if you don’t want the dinner they provide which is extra. Rentals down the road, pizza down the road!!! It doesn’t get any better with your own room shower and toilet.

Great access to the slopes at Tsugaike. Room was spacious and comfortable. Very good quality lodge style accommodation. Staff super friendly and helpful. Really lovely breakfast staff. Great facilities with drying room and vending machines. The breakfast was REALLY nice with a wide range of choices western or Japanese each day plus fruit, pastries etc.

“Amazing Traditional Japanese Stay at Hakuba!”

I loved the traditional japanese room, the onsen, how close it was to the ski lift and how friendly and helpful the staff were. The breakfast was delicious and warm each morning. The ski hire at the property was so convenient and the boot dryer was so useful! The onsen is tattoo friendly!

We loved the location, very quick walk to Tsugaike chair lifts! Lots of restaurants around this area as well as the convenience store. The onsen was great after a long day on the slopes and the shared bathrooms were very clean. The staff were so lovely and accomodating - even getting me ice when I hurt my knee!

Perfect location — only about 10 steps from the Tsugaike ski slopes. We were upgraded to a larger room without asking, which was a great surprise. The room had a traditional Japanese style with very comfortable Western beds and a private toilet. The shared bathrooms were excellent — very clean, well maintained, and included a relaxing bath. The breakfast was excellent and truly helped start the ski day the right way. A big plus was the ski room with boot dryers, which is not common in Japan and makes a huge difference. On departure day, they allowed us a late check-out so we could ski, and even drove us to the bus stop 🙏 By far the best value for money I’ve had in Hakuba. I will definitely stay here again!!
