Thanks Tor and Jack. Everything are all amazing. Walk 5 min to tsugaike resort. Friendly people, comfor bed, clean space, good kitchen, living room, breakfast and dry room. Have shuttle bus by cheaper price go around all ski resort. Hope come back soon and stay longer.

Super social, great vibes. Two minute walk to the ski hill. Easy to hope on buses to check out other ones. Got a pick up when I got in, amazing. Staff are incredible friend and helpful. Wish I would have stayed longer.

As a cheap, yet joyful experience, to be able to experience Japan’s snow sports season on a budget, this is an amazing spot! It’s exactly what you would expect and better, for a hostel.

“Comfortable!”
I like that the hot water from the shower stall was reliable. The 6-person dorm had good storage spaces for baggage and the bed was comfortable. The property was a great fit for my trip as I was there to ski a little at Tsugaike. The shuttle service is very convenient for getting us to the ski resorts or the bus terminal in the morning.

“Nice Cozy Cottage”
Plenty of facilities. Beautiful recreation area to chill and meet other people. Toilets and bathrooms were clean and tidy. The shared bedroom had a nice Japanese touch to it and was very comfortable. The breakfast selection was great. Eggs and toast or cereal and juice coffee or tea.

The location was perfect! We stayed in winter during the ski season so there were plenty of shuttle services to help everyone get around. the staff were all so lovely !

I honestly booked this place because it was cheap and it turned out to be probably my all time favourite hostel. Such comfy and chill vibes and surprisingly well catered for a little place. The location is perfect too. Right near the main lifts for Tsugaike resort which is imo the best hill in Hakuba Valley. Definitely will be staying here again next time I'm in Hakuba.

I was initially skeptical about staying at Tsugaike seeing how the "main" resorts Happo-one and Hakuba 47 are quite a distance away. However, Hai Lodge was everything that previous reviewers had said. Tsugaike is a wonderful resort with many different terrains that would satisfy most people. The place was very well-maintained and clean. Josh and Victoria were wonderful hosts. Overall, I enjoyed my stay at Hai Lodge and will definitely stay again next time!
