Beautiful location and very close to public transport links. It was clean and quiet. There is some renovation work going on but I wasn't disturbed by it at all during my stay. The room was very clean and a decent size. Breakfast offering was great, lots of options.

The hostel is located on the outskirts of Oslo, with the city center reachable in approximately 30 minutes by public transport. Breakfast was included, which was appreciated and helped keep the stay budget-friendly.

This is certainly excellent value for your money. It is cheap, clean and the breakfast is simply delicious. We enjoyed our stay here and would recommend this place to anyone visiting Oslo, as it is very easy to get from here to downtown.

I highly recommend this hostel. The staff were extremely kind and helpful – despite the ongoing renovation, the way to our room was explained perfectly, so we had no problems finding it. A big advantage was the small shop inside the hostel where you could buy souvenirs, water, snacks, and basic cosmetics. The location was also great – very close to the tram stop, with easy access to the center of Oslo within just a few minutes. The room was small but functional and perfectly suitable for a few days’ stay. The breakfasts were delicious and varied. Everyone could find something they liked, and it was also possible to try local specialties such as brunost (Norwegian brown cheese) and different kinds of herring.

“Pleasant experience”

Staying at HI Oslo Haraldsheim was a pleasant experience. The staff were very welcoming and helpful. The hostel is located in a quiet area with easy access to nature nearby. Getting to the center of Oslo and the main station is convenient by tram and takes around 20 minutes. The rooms were clean, and clean sheets and towels were provided. The beds were comfortable enough, though not exceptionally so. The breakfast was oriental-style and served as an open buffet. It was far above my expectations. There were also good options available for vegans and people with different dietary preferences. They also provide a few small but helpful services, such as selling single tram tickets (slightly above the normal price). In addition, there are opportunities to buy toiletries or snacks if needed. It is also worth mentioning that there is a small restaurant about 500 meters away from the hostel. They offer a variety of snacks and warm sandwiches and stay open until 2 AM, which can be very convenient if you need to grab a bite.
