“Izu Ooshima rules”
I love the island. The hostel is very cozy. Nice book shelfs. Small things to eat. The personal is always very friendly and helpful. Will definitively come back the next time.

Great location near the Motomachi ferry terminal. (Be careful that your ferry isn't leaving from the Okada port instead https://www.tokaikisen.co.jp/schedule/, posted after 06:00) Bed was comfy, staff friendly and lots of books to borrow and read. The buses aren't super regular, so getting a timetable is important. Beautiful beaches nearby for snorkeling.

“You gotta visit Izu Oshima”
I thought Book Tea Bed was great - I was a little bit worried because I don’t have a ton of experience staying in hostels but you get your own little cubby with a curtain so it feels very private. The location was excellent, everything was clean, the staff was friendly & helpful. I definitely recommend visiting Izu Oshima as well as the island is beautiful.
