I’m writing this review to express my gratitude to this ryokan for making our Osaka trip even more comfortable and memorable. As someone who has visited Japan more than 30 times, this was honestly one of the most impressive places I’ve ever stayed. Interestingly, there was no traditional check-in lobby, but I actually loved that because there was no waiting at all. They were ready and waiting for us when we arrived, and kindly explained everything in detail. They also gave our family an unforgettable photo session experience, and amazingly, sent us the photos the very next day. Our two children were so happy as well because they prepared thoughtful gifts that perfectly matched each child’s interests. A special thank you to Yuga for the warm hospitality. The next time we visit Osaka, we will definitely stay at this ryokan again.

“Unique Japanese experience in the Osaka Ryokan”

Hello we had a warm welcome arriving at the Ryokan : our host were very kind and taking care of us : they ensured that we could sleep well and the additional futons made our experience very good. Then we could benefit from a unique and amazing photo experience in Samurai and Kimono. The costums were beautiful and we could make individual and family photos with weapons. We had a lot of fun to discover so much on the Japanese culture. Big big thank you for this wonderful time in Osaka.

We truly enjoyed our stay at the ryokan. It definately exceeded our expectations because the host Ozaki not only provided us with a comfortable, clean and safe place to stay, but also made our stay special with his kindness and availability. He provided us many tips on where to eat, what to see and gave us an opportunity of a great photo session that created lovely and memorable moments. We recommend this place without hesitation and if we ever go back to Osaka we know where we will stay :0.

We absolutely loved our stay at this ryokan. We had such a lovely time and it became a highlight of our holiday. Ozaki was extremely helpful and kind. Any information we needed was immediately given. He kindly arranged for us to have these amazing photographs taken in traditional costumes. We all loved it. The futon beds were very comfortable and we had all the amenities we needed. Even gifts on our arrival.

“Central location, well equipped, pretty and colourful decoration, with a superb and kind host”

The decoration is very nice, the flat is very well equipped, beds (western style in our bedrrom/flat) are very comfortable. Location is close to many restaurants (had breakfast at 3 different places, all very good) and metro station. But what sets this place apart is Ozaki-san. Well before arriving he provided helpful suggestions for activities, places to visit, restaurants and more. On arrival he spend a lot of time showing us all the features of the apartment and the many beautiful objects he has as decoration (it shows that he really takes great pride on Japanese culture), making sure we had our bearings location-wise, and kindly gave us some welcome gifts. And the photo session will always be a precious memory! From helping me give the clothes an extra drying-only cycle on a japanese machine to forwarding a necklace my daughter had left behind to our next hotel, he couldn't do enough - arigatou gozaimasu Ozaki-san.

“Amazing stay in Osaka”

This was not just a hotel stay, it was an experience in itself. Our host Ozaki took time to show us around the room, explain the history and use of beautiful objects in the room, even included gifts for us and our son. The free photo session was amazing, not rushed at all, it surpassed our expectations. The room was of excellent size, beautifully made, quiet, comfortable and very close to several metro lines useful for transport around the city and to the castle, walking distance to Dotonbori, there's a cafe for breakfast just around the corner. Ozaki-san even shared recommendations for restaurants and attractions, tailored to our needs. all in all it was a really lovely stay, thank you!

“We would love to stay at this place again”

This was the best stay we had in Japan; we felt so welcome. Everything was so comfortable, and the hosts were incredibly kind and took great care of us..

“Fantastic stay”

It was beautiful and very clean. The studio was very well equipped even with a washer/ dryer which was super helpful for us. The host and his family are super caring and very kind. They gave us little gitfs, explained Japanese culture, helped us find and book good food spots and even had a photoshoot in kimonos.

Such an amazing place to stay. The host, Ozaki, is absolutely amazing. He is extremely knowledgeable and friendly - I honestly can’t think of another place we’ve stayed where the host has put such an effort in making sure we were happy with our stay. He sent us recommendations of places and restaurants to go to during our stay in Osaka which was super helpful. The room itself is beautiful and very authentic. It’s also situated very conveniently, with stations, shops, cafes and the Ebisu Bridge all within a short walk. Couldn’t recommend staying here enough!

It was well thought through with all the little extras

Great hospitality with a warm welcome, highly recommended especially for families with children. Convenient quiet location in Osaka near the metro and major sights.

The location was perfect, the property owners could not be more accommodating or amazing. We travelled with our (almost) two year old son, and the owners had activities, nappies and other supplies ready in the accommodation when we arrived (free of charge). We booked a different room to what we had expected (completely our fault) and they were so receptive and offered to move us to our preferred room without additional charge. They cleaned the new room and had it ready for us within the hour. It is rare to feel completely at home, safe and at ease with people on the other side of the world, but we truly felt this way in this accommodation. Would definitely return if staying in Osaka again in the future.

“Fantastic place - would class host!”

This review is impossible to keep short not only because the place was incredible (which it was), but because of the host Ozaki-san. So first about the place: Very good location, easy to get around and quiet in the night. Super big with a nice kitchen, and warm for the winter days. A big room and everything was ready and nice. Incredibly beautiful inside, with things that belong to a museum, so was a place to sleep 🙌🏽. So nothing to put a finger on regarding the place, all money worth and 5/5. That said, now to the host.. I mean here to start? Honestly getting emotional thinking about what a help this guy, my new japanese friend have meant for this trip. He helped, came with about 100 recommendations (not joking) and was kind to guide me all the way through the whole trip. No matter the question, no matter the problem, Ozaki was there. So helpful, friendly and kind. The photoshoot was fun and you can tell that Ozaki really puts a super big effort in his Ryokan, and with all the things he has. But this goes beyond service, it's been a heart full help and support, that will never be forgotten. Just this was all the money worth and even way more. Service at 5 stars hotels ect. don't even beat this. I have one prayer if you choose this Ryokan (which would be the best choice), ia to be kind to the host, the man, the OG - mister Ozaki. Arigatou gozaimasu tomodachi 🙏

“Memorable and better than a bland western hotel”

Had a great stay with our 2 kids, 12 and 10. Ozaki was a great host who went out of his way to make our stay memorable. Gifts for the kids on arrival, his explanation of some of the traditional Japanese items in the room and the dress up in traditional samurai armour made the stay a unique experience. Room was large and the bathrooms were modern and clean. Location was close to the train station and easy walking distance to main shopping area in Osaka.

“Fabulous would highly recommend this accommodation”

The welcome we received on arrival was fantastic. Everything was explained clearly to us. We received lovely welcome gifts which was a lovely surprise. The room was gorgeous and had all the amenities that we required and more. The traditional Japanese bed was soo comfortable I had the best sleep I have had in ages. The photo shoot was an added bonus. The host was the best we had in Japan and could not do enough for us.

“Very well priced group accommodation”

Absolutely delightful host. Ozaki was especially helpful prior to our arrival finding somewhere for us to eat late at night as we arrived from Australia around 10pm. Very spacious room with a kitchenette and huge bathroom. Lots of space for group travellers to spread out. Very thoughtful gifts and trinkets were included for us to take home - my daughter especially loved the lucky cat that she was decorate herself.

It was a beautifully decorated spacious living space, each room occupies an entire floor and included a bathroom, washing /dry machine, toilet and little kitchenette and eating table. It’s a home away from home. The host gave us an amazing photo shoot! You can contact him via WhatsApp during your stay. He provides you all with information you need to get the best out of Osaka. I would love to stay again!

“Wonderful accommodation, great location, friendly host”

We had a wonderful stay here. We are two adults and an eight year old, the room is lovely with lots of space and all amenities we could need. The location is great and Ozaki is a brilliant host, the check in was thorough and really welcoming, and he catered to my special request for specific washing machine instructions and provided an excellent clothes rack for us to use as we did a lot of washing there! He also kindly gave us and our son many gifts, which was so kind. We took him up on his kind offer to have a photo shoot, which was a really special experience and we will treasure the photos taken! We would recommend to anyone and will stay again if we are lucky enough to return to Japan!
